I really enjoyed our stay. I liked the cottage was so close to walking to all the small shops on main street. Because it is set on a hill, the traffic noise was null. My daughter thought it was "pretty awesome".
One word of caution to visitors in the area. We stayed mid-October and most places were switching off summer hours to winter hours so a lot of places were closed mid-week. Has no impact on this rental, just an FYI if you travel this time of year like we do. I wasn't aware of that but we just changed course and found other things to do and see.
Great location for walking into Bailey’s Harbor. Internally property was super clean and had what we needed for a short stay. The check in situation was a little unclear and fridge was off. Owners responded promptly and talked us through getting in.
Great location near to everything and walking distance to park and church. Quaint cottage and very responsive owners. We had a little mishap with the cleaning lady not coming before our stay but the owners were very kind about it and said they would be sending us a check to refund the cleaning fee. Great overall stay and the kids loved the hammock and being in Door County. Within driving distance of all of the harbors.
Terry’s little cabin has most everything that you need and is in a quiet location on the quiet side of Door County. Lake Michigan is a short walk from the house and Anclam Park is very nice. This is minor but getting a drain for the sink would make doing dishes easier. We also missed having WiFi since our cell company doesn’t have much coverage in door county. Overall a pleasant place to stay with comfortable beds and central location.
Good location, within close walking distance to everything Bailey’s Harbor has to offer. The cottage is a good value - charming, small, and well-loved but had everything we needed. Our 2 and 3 year old kids enjoyed the playground in the north end of town. Friday fish fry at the Cornerstone Pub was great.
Our family annual summer trip to Door County. First time staying in Bailey’s Harbor. Great spot for our family. Beaches, fishing, kayaking. So many great restaurants. The cottage was clean in a great location at a very reasonable price.
Beautiful, comfortable cottage in a great location
This little cottage is cute, comfortable, quiet, and very conveniently located on the "quiet side" of Door County. It was immaculately clean and just the right size for the two of us. Nice swings and adirondack chairs outside where you can get a glimpse of Bailey's Harbor. Close to excellent restaurants and a brewery. We enjoyed it very much!
It was great to run into the owners in person early in the week. Thank you, Kathleen and Michael, for your recommendations on biking in Peninsula State Park and on Washington Island. We did both and loved it!
Great location and rental with almost everything you could need. We have been lucky enough to meet both sets of owners over our several years staying here in June and they are such a delight.
Don't forget your towels and sheets!
We spent 3 days in Door County site seeing. This was our landing zone, mainly at night. It suited us just fine for our needs. Fun little cottage in walking distance to the park for sunrise.
This was our first time to Wisconsin and for that matter the Midwest and the beautiful Heartland of America. The cottage was so convenient to all the beautiful sites in Door County and I am sure I witnessed a true Hallmark experience. There were 3 of us from FL, AZ, IL and having Lake Michigan right in the back yard was perfect. We enjoyed our coffee morning at the cottage and then relaxing after full days of touring. It was just perfect.
My wife and I wanted to catch the Fall colors and visit Washington Island. It took us about 1/2 hour to get to the car ferry. The property was as described and there is a BP gas station across the street that had everything you could need. We walked down to the local brew pub to enjoy a local beer. We would recommend the property to friends and family.
Wonderful location, super easy to walk into town and also centrally located if you want to drive to different points of Door County. Lovely backyard setup, great kitchen, very comfortable beds, nice and spacious bathroom.
Our only critiques would be that the couch and sitting chairs are fairly old and could use updating, and the pillows on the bed could also be updated.
Great cottage located within walking distance of shops, bars and eateries and the lake. It was a bonus that when we were tired of being out and about, the cottage has DirecTV so we were able to put our feet up and catch up on news, sports, etc.
The cottage was in a great location, very near a beach. It had everything we needed. We grilled out and enjoyed a fire on the property. The owners sent us all the info we needed ahead of time, and we had a very nice stay.
We've stayed here before and really like it. Only downside for us is no wi-fi (which we knew about) and Verizon cell service sucks here. (My friends with Cellular One had no problems.) Very comfortable cabin with 3 beds - perfect for us 3 girlfriends.
Cozy cottage with all the amenities to make our stay enjoyable. Located within walking distance of beaches, shops, and restaurants. Terry thought of everything. Can't wait to return.
