About this property

Modern cabin w/fire pit & screened porch

The Space:

Morning light filters through the trees as you step onto the screened porch, coffee in hand, while the scent of pine drifts from the nearby fire pit. In the evenings, the string‑lit path guides you to a crackling fire where marshmallows melt and stories linger under a canopy of stars. Inside, the soft Chesterfield sofa invites you to sink down beside a wood‑burning fireplace, the perfect counterpoint to the fast fiber‑optic Wi‑Fi that lets you work or stream without missing a beat. This modern‑rustic cabin feels both secluded and welcoming, a place where the rhythm of the forest sets the pace for your stay.

Sleeping arrangements

- Bedroom 1 – Queen Size Bed (main level)

- Bedroom 2 – Two Full Size Beds (main level)

- Pack & Play available for little ones

- 1 Full Bath

Living space & amenities

The living room centers on a wood‑burning fireplace, complemented by a Chesterfield sofa and shelves stocked with books, puzzles, games, and a curated vinyl record collection. Music lovers can enjoy the turntable, Apple HomePod Mini, and a portable JBL Bluetooth speaker. A washer and dryer keep linens fresh, while central A/C and heat maintain a comfortable temperature year‑round.

Kitchen & dining

A fully equipped chef’s kitchen includes a stove/oven, refrigerator, coffee maker, and all the tools you need to prepare meals. Dine at the bright breakfast nook or step onto the large screened‑in porch for al fresco meals, with a propane grill ready for the grillmaster in your group.

Outdoor living

Two porches—one fully screened—offer lounging and dining areas surrounded by woodland. An outdoor fire pit with Adirondack chairs sits along a string‑lit path, perfect for late‑night conversations. Additional Adirondack chairs and benches line the outer porch, inviting you to soak in the forest ambience.

Neighborhood & activities

A short drive brings you to two entrances of Shenandoah National Park, local vineyards, breweries, farmers markets, antique shops, and charming small towns. Nearby attractions include the Virginia Museum of the Civil War (10 min), Endless Caverns (10 min), Shenvalee Golf Resort (10 min), Luray Caverns (20 min), and Bryce Resort (30 min) for year‑round outdoor fun.

Pet policy

Dog‑friendly guests are welcome to share the cabin’s spacious acres and woodland trails.

Practical notes

A mile‑long gravel mountain road leads to the cabin; low‑clearance vehicles should proceed with caution, and 4WD is recommended after heavy snow. The well supplies water, so pressure may vary. There is no television, but the cabin’s cozy atmosphere and abundant entertainment options make it unnecessary.

Whether you’re seeking a quiet retreat, a remote‑work haven, or a base for exploring the Shenandoah Valley, this cabin offers the perfect blend of comfort, nature, and thoughtful design.

Nice comfy cabin in a quiet location & close to lots to do. I had a little trouble finding the address/driveway because of the leaf cover but the property mgr was very responsive. Enjoyed my stay!

I live in DC with my wife and three young kids. I love camping/hiking, drinking (and sometimes brewing) great beer and wine, exploring new restaurants and shops, and traveling all over.

What makes this property unique

We spent years searching for the perfect getaway, and wanted to be close enough to DC that we could do a day trip. We fell in love with the area – and this cabin in particular. We love how cute and cozy our cabin is, and all the fun outdoor activities we can enjoy year-round. :)
