Step inside to find a cozy rock fireplace, perfect for warming up after a day of adventure. The cabin’s beautiful glass front opens up to a large deck, where you can relax in a 6-person hot tub while taking in the serene river views.

The master bedroom features a luxurious king-size bed, while the loft bedroom offers two queen-size beds. Both bedrooms boast huge windows, ideal for stargazing or enjoying the local scenery. The cabin’s log construction adds a rustic charm, complemented by hardwood floors throughout.

The fully equipped kitchen, complete with a dishwasher, ensures you have everything you need for a comfortable stay. But the true highlight of this cabin is the phenomenal views of the river and the mountains, providing a perfect backdrop for your getaway.

My sister and I really enjoyed the cabin. It was beautiful and all the furniture was comfortable!! The views were the best part. Being able to hear the creek below as we sat on the deck was amazing! The cabin is really located in such a great place, easily accessible to a lot of tourist places!! Loved it here!!

Gander Lodge was perfect for our short stay. Close to Luray Caverns and Thornton Gap entrance to Shenandoah National Park. We enjoyed the views, hot tub and accommodations in the cabin. Would definitely stay again!!

We are established cabin owners for over 10 years. I have been an owner and manager of Shenandoah River outfitters., for even longer. I have always been in the tourism industry since my teenage years as a guide on Shenandoah National Park.
My husband David is a farmer and his family farm has been in the Shenandoah Valley since 1790
We have a working farm, so the cabin is located in a rural setting.

Why they chose this property

Our cabins are on a piece of property that my husband and I bought over 25 years ago.
The family used to own this piece and we wanted to get the property back.
This is a beautiful river front piece, that we have grown to love. You can float right by the cabins. It is a bird lover and fisherman's paradise. We loved this property and all our friends said that it would be perfect for cabins and we finally caved, and put up the Goose and Gander. Everyone loves our little cabins so we decided to add the last and nicest cabin to the collection.

What makes this property unique

There is a 34 acre island out in front of the cabin. There is over a mile of riverfront access.
You can wade, swim, fish,canoe, tube, kayak, bird watch, look for wild life. All within the confines of the cabins.
There is a private boat launch on the property.
Because of the large private island and the unspoiled area there are birds everywhere.
