About this property

This cabin is the same style as the Goose and Gander Cabins, however we took it to new levels. There is a rock fireplace, beautiful glass front with a large deck with a 6-person hot tub overlooking the river. A master bedroom with a king size bed. A loft bedroom with a 2 queen size beds. Both bedrooms have huge windows for star gazing or looking at the local scenery. Beautiful log construction. The cabin has a full kitchen, including a dishwasher. The cabin has hard wood floors throughout.
The best feature is the views of the river and the mountains,phenomenal!

Great location!

We had a wonderful stay, it was not an issue for us however the second bathroom is only usable from an outside door separate from the main living space. The setting, and location were perfect, would suggest to other and stay again!

Amazing cozy romantic days

First,many thanks to Lisa, she was fantastic, a great host, with great customer service. The house is perfectly equipped with wonderful views. It is fantastic both winter and summer. We can't wait to return in spring.

Wonderful little cabin

Cozy cabin that has just about everything you could need! You will need to bring your own linens or purchase their linen package. Other than that, great place. The hot tub was an excellent spot to relax after a long day of hiking. And once you’re done there, move inside to lounge on the couch in front of the gas fireplace. Would definitely return!

We are established cabin owners for over 10 years. I have been an owner and manager of Shenandoah River outfitters., for even longer. I have always been in the tourism industry since my teenage years as a guide on Shenandoah National Park.
My husband David is a farmer and his family farm has been in the Shenandoah Valley since 1790
We have a working farm, so the cabin is located in a rural setting.

Why they chose this property

Our cabins are on a piece of property that my husband and I bought over 25 years ago.
The family used to own this piece and we wanted to get the property back.
This is a beautiful river front piece, that we have grown to love. You can float right by the cabins. It is a bird lover and fisherman's paradise. We loved this property and all our friends said that it would be perfect for cabins and we finally caved, and put up the Goose and Gander. Everyone loves our little cabins so we decided to add the last and nicest cabin to the collection.

What makes this property unique

There is a 34 acre island out in front of the cabin. There is over a mile of riverfront access.
You can wade, swim, fish,canoe, tube, kayak, bird watch, look for wild life. All within the confines of the cabins.
There is a private boat launch on the property.
Because of the large private island and the unspoiled area there are birds everywhere.
