We loved our time spent here! Great location, beds were all super comfortable. Spent so much time out on the deck. Even enjoyed a fire in fire pit. Was easy to explore with day trip to Ruby Beach and short hike to largest Spruce tree and Merriman Falls. We will definitely be back for more!
As second-time guests, we loved our stay this year as much as last year. The house is clean & spacious, with all the necessary amenities. The view of Lake Quinault is stunning and the atmosphere is so peaceful. We did a lot of group cooking & the kitchen is well-stocked. Everyone was comfortable in their respective rooms. We hope to stay at Otters Cove again.
This property was perfect for our family vacation. There were 12 of us and the house fit us quite nicely. Ample room, separate rooms to be able to have different things going on at the same time. The view was stunning. It rained the entire time we were there, but the view was still great. Betty, the host was very communicative and responded quickly to our requests. The house is stocked with most things you need to cook meals. A couple notes: the deck is very uneven. If you have those with mobility issues, take caution. My daughter stubbed her toe and my husband tripped ( all are ok). The path down to the lake is really easy to find. The area around the home is charming with little details everywhere. We truly enjoyed our time there. It was restorative in so many ways! You will not be disappointed.
Betty, the host, was communicative and very friendly. Kitchen was very well stocked with cooking supplies. Amazing location and views; we wish we could have stayed longer! Can tell a lot has been recently updated. Only negative I can think of is the water pressure in the upstairs shower is not as powerful as you'd hope to wash thick hair. But no worries as there's an amazing soaker tub and a great shower downstairs too!My family wished we had more time to enjoy the house and kayaks and views! Would 10/10 stay again!
Our family (3 generations, group of 11) thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We relaxed on the big deck, cooked in the well-equipped kitchen, made use of a kayak, and thoroughly enjoyed exploring the forests and beaches nearby. Views were gorgeous. We would definitely stay there again.
The house was very nice and met our needs. What a beautiful location! We used it as a base for hiking and other activities. Our one regret was that we did not take the time to just sit on the back porch and enjoy the house more!
Great property right in the park and on the lake!! Well appointed and well taken care of home . We really enjoyed our stay and Betty was easy to reach and very responsive to our questions! Highly Recommended!!
Amazing stay! Beautiful view of the lake with huge deck to enjoy it from. Beach access with kayaks and paddle boards to go out and explore on the lake with. Paddles and life jackets provided as well. Grounds and garden are cozy and well kept. House is stocked with decent kitchenware and everything we needed for meals. Comfortable bedrooms and living areas. Would go back to this spot for sure.
We booked this property for our wedding and experienced conditions that did not meet basic standards of habitability. On the third day of our stay, we observed a dead rodent inside the home, along with additional cleanliness concerns. These conditions were promptly documented and reported to the host in good faith, with the expectation that they would take immediate and appropriate corrective action. The host failed to remedy the issue and subsequently ceased communication during the investigation process, preventing any meaningful resolution. This lack of response and failure to address a documented health and safety concern significantly impacted our stay.

This was a Booking for 4 Adults and 1 child, To stay in a home close to nature where there is wildlife and small animals.
3 vehicles arrived with several children and adults.
There were several cars parked up and down the road.
Safety was a concern with reports of
Of children running up and down the road.
We are in located in a beautiful nature
Setting in the woods by the Lake.
I personally sanitized the kitchen and the home.
There was no signs of any mouse activity
A mouse had gotten in the house, probably do to people coming and going, doors being left open
There was a rug that I had taken out of the living room so I could wash the floors,
It rained and the rug became to heavy for me to left into the truck.
I pulled the rug to the edge of a drain area out of line of sight.
Evening was approaching i was concerned about the number of cars, adults, children
And disruption to the neighborhood.
The guests reported my maintance man who was finishing up a new grill on the deck
They reported it as entering the property without authorization.
I had to call and ask all additional guests to leave after finishing there meal.
Evening was approaching and I was concerned for safety and disruption to neighbors, I appreciate my guests and work hard to provide a clean, inviting atmosphere.
Because I did not refund them the money for resolution, this was called noncooperation
In resolving there issues?
We had a wonderful time. The beds were comfortable. The house was very accommodating. We loved cooking and sharing meals then playing card games at the big dining table.Views of the lake were so lovely and everything was quiet and peaceful. We had hoped for a better beach experience as we’re all swimmers and love to play in the water. I thought from the photos there was better access to the shore.

Beautiful - right on the lake!
The cabin was the perfect size for our family. We spent the holidays here and were delighted to find it already decorated for Christmas. Absolutely recommend!
Great location, big views over the lake, close to many hiking trails, very good restaurants in nearby Quinault village. Home is roomy, well kept up, great kitchen, owners are friendly and responsive. Would definitely stay again.
Lovely stay for our family. Kids toys, kayaks, canoes were a bonus! Beautiful home and quiet location. We stay at around 9 Vrbo’s this year and this has been our favorite!
Very relaxing stay. Lake is literally in the backyard. Sitting out on the very expansive deck and watching the water, listening to the wind was awesome. House is clean and very nicely decorated, comfy and stocked. Great location - loved hiking in the rainforest, and we took a trip out to Ruby beach. Owner is great - overall super fun stay, one of our favorites for sure.
We were there for our friend’s 50th birthday. The house was well-appointed and cozy. The view was breathtaking (not exaggerating)! We made some wonderful memories and would love to come back. Highly recommended!

About the host
Hosted by Betty
When I was a teenager and life was difficult with the parents, I wanted to run away from home and live in a tree house; Being from Minnesota, I knew my chance of surviving the winter was not realistic. As an adult I moved to WA state and on my first visit to Lake Quinault, I knew I had found my home in the trees. I see the beauty of God's creation from my House in the Trees and pray that God's presence is felt by all that visit.
Why they chose this property
Beautiful, comfortable, and peaceful
What makes this property unique
I love the Hydrangea plants, the hot pink roses on the fence, and all the beautiful colors of green. The Lake is stunningly beautiful abundant with life in and around it. Eagles, Otters, Deer, Elk, jumping fish and the occasional Bear are to name a few who call this home
