About this property
River Views | Private Hot Tub | The Cherry Cabin
Sitting where field meets forest with views of the Union River, The Cherry offers a peaceful, accessible stay in the Maine woods.
Styled like a classic Maine camp with modern comfort and clean design, it sleeps six: two bedrooms (queen + twin XL bunks) and a queen bed in the loft. A wall of windows frames the rapids, with a hot tub, smokeless fire pit, and 1.5 miles of quiet forest trails just outside. Private and woodsy, yet close to Ellsworth, Acadia National Park, and the surrounding Downeast.
The Cherry Cabin is equipped for comfort, quiet, and time spent well—whether preparing a meal, soaking under the stars, or watching light shift through the trees. Inside, you’ll find a compact but complete kitchen with an induction cooktop, mini-oven, dishwasher, and essentials for daily cooking, along with a washer-dryer, small desk and chair, high speed fiber internet, wood-burning stove, and mini-split heat pump. There is also a smart projector and portable screen for streaming and a few games.
Beds are made up with all-cotton Oeko-Tex certified linens. The bathroom is stocked with Public Goods amenities and extra-large cotton bath towels. Outdoors, The Cherry includes a private hot tub, smokeless fire pit, propane grill, outdoor seating, and (April–October) a hammock. Private parking includes a Tesla Universal Wall connector that works with all J1772-compatible vehicles.
The Cherry welcomes well-behaved dogs (leashed outdoors, no furniture use). The loft is accessed by an alternating tread ladder.
Current rates reflect a discount as Arbor Camp continues to grow, and you may occasionally see or hear construction elsewhere on the property.
By booking, you confirm that you have read and agree to the house rules, including those regarding pets, damage, and smoking.
If the Cherry is unavailable for your dates, we have other one-of-a-kind treehouses and cabins at the same Arbor Camp location — each with its own unique character that might be your perfect match!
