We stayed four nights enjoyed our stay the cabin was what we anticipated and we would consider going back next year. They were very easy to work with communication as easy. Everything went very well. Well, thanks again.
the property was very lovely, and as described. Would highly recommend. We, and more so our pet, were made to feel very welcome. The beach was very close drive, it was nice and clean as well. We would like to book there again, perhaps for a short winter romantic getaway :)
Such a wonderful stay at Cranberry Chalet, we didn’t want to leave! The chalet was clean and just as described. We received a very warm welcome with special emphasis on our furry family member . The beach and swimming area was super close and was frequented each day. Thank you, Jennifer, for your kindness, responsiveness and for offering Cranberry Chalet for others to enjoy. We hope to be back soon!!
This was a family stay coming home for a funeral. The reason for coming to Mich was sad however we did have fun. This property allowed us to spend time together with our whole family. The kids loved the lake and the firepit. Camp fire smores are the best! Would stay again 100%
Cranberry Cottage was the perfect holiday setting with festive summer holiday decorations, great space for seating, outside events, inside conversation and sleep for a larger group. Loved the accommodations and special treats for the doggo's! Every possible comfort and unexpected treat was provided for the humans and non-humans right down to the welcome sign on the door. Excellent communications with the host; I could not think of a single thing to improve! GREAT EXPERIENCE!!
Our family enjoyed this home and being off the beaten path. Jennifer is a great host. We travelled with our dog and they made his arrival special. Welcoming him with food and water dishes, treats and noted welcoming him and his humans. Highly recommend!!
Cottage was perfect for our family. Chalet was clean, but could use a deep clean. Kitchen had many of the things we needed to make meals. The neighborhood was very quiet, even though it was 4th of July week. Our dog Milo loved his walks and fenced area to do his business. If you are looking for a quiet stay, this is the place!
We loved the yard and fire pit as we unplugged and wound down. So clean and neat! Welcoming of our dogs was a priority! Love to be able to bring them with us. Thank you!!!!!

House was smaller than portrayed and cameras on property without noting in the listing.

Amanda,
I'm confused as to how one can make a house seem "smaller than portrayed" 😂. There were no wide angle camera shots in the listing photos , and you can clearly get a feel for the size of the rooms based on the amount of furniture in them. There's even a long shot from the kitchen looking through the dining area and into the family room. If anything, people have commented on how much bigger the house is than in the pictures.
Also, the upstairs description clearly states "sleeping spaces" not rooms and with no doors. You had 6 people, and the house comfortable sleeps 8!
In addition, you are the first person to ever have a negative reaction to exterior security cameras aimed at front and rear doors and the road coming into the woods. Everyone else seems to be grateful to have them with the house being so secluded. Would have amounted to a simple click of a button to turn them off for you had you reached out and let me know you were uncomfortable with them.
Since you didn't communicate during your stay (including responding to my offer for you to check out as late as you'd like), there was no way of knowing you were unhappy. We excel at making every guest's trip enjoyable, and our reviews and ratings prove that.
I suggest better communication with your next host rather than a bad review. It's our livelihood.
Nice place to stay, just needs to be cleaned/picked up more. It wasn’t dirty, but there was a lot of junk under the beds and under the couches. We even had a used band aid in the bed sheets. There was a dirty used hammock just laying on the front yard. If this place was picked up more, it would be great.

Hi Philip. Based on our communication before and during your stay, I was surprised to hear of these issues! As you know, we had terrible storms before and during your stay. Here is what I said to you before your arrival”
“ It’s raining here, so I didn’t get to use the blower on the deck or wipe down all the outdoor chairs etc. Also, there’s an old hammock I was starting to hang when it began to rain. Then I remembered I bought a new one last year. it’s still in the box in the Playhouse. If you guys want a second hammock put up(1 new one already hanging). Feel free to take it out if box. It goes in the eye hooks that are in the trees. The S hooks are inside on the credenza”
Pointing out the hammock in the yard seemed unnecessary in your review. Also, not only is every quit, sheets and towels washed in between guest, but I also wash all throw blankets, couch pillows, and floor mats. The fact that you found a band aid was SO unfortunate and I apologize!!! I will have to make sure I shake out everything before washing better. As to the garbage under the beds, I have no idea about that. I will be vacuuming more diligently as well. I’ve never had a dirt complaint before. I am sorry you did not have a 5 star experience.
My experience with Jen and her cute homey cabin was wonderful from start to finish. We are repeat customers, and will be returning again. A warm welcome always awaits my family including my dogs when we arrive. Jen goes the extra mile to make all feel welcome. The Cranberry Chalet is always clean and the decor makes you smile and feel happy. Besides the food you eat, the kitchen is stocked with anything you may need. The grill had plenty of propane and we enjoyed our meals on the porch in the fresh air. The sleeping arrangements were just right, and all the rooms nad bathrooms were very clean. Her bon-fire pit is the best with plenty of chairs for all to relax. The kids had a super fun time at the beach where they had plenty of room to frolic and play without the worry of dropoffs, because it was buoyed off.
I tell all my family and friends about Jens get-away. Thanks once again for the best stay ever..we will be back!! ❤

Great relaxing cabin in the woods.
Our family had a great time at the cabin enjoying the birds, woods and campfire. We enjoyed the beaches at the state parks nearby.
