Centrally located in Tahoe Vista between Tahoe City and Kings Beach, this charming vacation rental is the ideal setting for your summer or winter getaways.

The interior of this mountain home is equally ideal. The upstairs great room boasts an open floor plan with new, upscale furnishings, a gourmet kitchen, large windows, and vaulted ceilings. Enjoy conversing with the chef while the kids play cards at the dining table and the grandparents watch the nightly news. With a dining table for six plus five bar seats at the kitchen island, there is ample space for the whole group, but you may also want to try dining al fresco on the front deck as well! On the main floor, you'll also find an elegant primary suite with a king bed and an ensuite bath with a soaking tub, double vanity, and separate shower. Across the hall, the second bedroom offers a comfortable queen bed and adjacent full bath with a shower/tub combo.

The lower level of this vacation home offers a casual living room perfect for kids to hang out and watch TV while the grownups socialize upstairs. There is also a full bath, bunk room, and access to the hot tub on this level as well. While there is a privacy fence around the perimeter of the backyard, neighboring homes are fairly close. This is the perfect vacation rental for those looking for a peaceful mountain escape, but the rowdier crowd may wish to look elsewhere.

Just west of Kings Beach and running right along the lake, Tahoe Vista is a favorite of outdoor enthusiasts. For lake lovers, kayaking from one of several hidden beaches, or a motorized excursion from the new Tahoe Vista Recreation Area boat launch facility are two Tahoe Vista treats. For landlubbers, the nearby Regional Park sports year-round trailhead for mountain biking, snowshoeing, and cross-country skiing, a disc golf course, nature trails, and sweet swing sets.

In the winter, you are less than fifteen minutes from Northstar California. There, enjoy access to almost 100 trails and over 3,000 skiable acres, impeccable grooming, incredible tree skiing, and enough variety to challenge every level of skier. Take advantage of world-class terrain parks, cross country skiing, a youth Adventure Park, and a 9000 square foot ice rink surrounded by fire pits and a rink sidebar.

The house was great! It was clean and in pretty good shape. The couch was not too comfy or the bar stools easy to walk around but those were minor things. Thank you for allowing dogs, she had a great time in the backyard with us.

Had a great week enjoying the beaches with beautiful weather in the mid 70’s. Lots of great restaurants close by. House was perfect for our crew of 7. Highly Recommended!

Very nice, clean, spacious home! The kitchen was very user friendly, has everything you need to make any type of meal. Very nice having a living room upstairs and family room downstairs, both with TVs. Best part was that it is only 2 minutes away from our favorite restaurant, Lanzas!

The only negative was the fault of the management or VRBO. The photo made the place look 10 TIMES bigger than it really was. It really is false advertising. Many positives- comfortable, clean, having a backyard was great with dogs. Great downstairs living room was very nice and bedroom for younger ones. Walk to the beach. Decent balcony. Hot tub.

Short walk to the beach and Safeway

The check in process was seamless. The property itself was clean and was spacious. Also there were plenty of beds (not just pull out couch beds) so everyone was able to sleep comfortably. Location is also great. Parking at the beach can be hard to find on weekends but luckily we were able to just walk from our property to the beach in 5-10 min.

Great house, great location!

We loved the Agatam Retreat! Furnishings were nice, house was clean, and allows dogs which was so great! The two different family rooms gave space for the adults and the kids. Kitchen was well stocked. It's walking distance to Moon Dune beach which is a sand beach with rocks in the water and a sandbar that makes the water warmer. The neighborhood is super quiet with a mix of year-round residents and part-time residents. We hope to be back soon!

Cozy Tahoe Retreat

This cabin was perfect for our Tahoe summer getaway! It’s a ten minute walk to SafeWay and a five minute walk to a beach that always seemed to be less crowded than the rest. Amenities were great and hot tub was a definite plus. There’s also a separate living room area in the basement of the kids want to watch a movie while the adults hang out upstairs. Our only issues were that the great room gets very hot because the sun hits it directly for most of the day, but overall we were able to get past it.

Rental, not a vacation home

Tahoe Getaways was very responsive and helpful with our rental. We contacted them a few times for a wrong door code and a broken hot tub. Both issues were solved quickly and professionally. Setting up the rental was also fairly easy. The house itself had a lot of positives and potential. The house and kitchen were well equipped and organized, the beds were comfortable, the hot tub was nice, and the neighborhood was quiet. There were only 2 of us in the house and the space was sufficient enough, but I can't imagine having more than 4 in the house (although there is a second living area and sleeping space for 8). I say this because the house felt crowded and it was hard to find a comfortable chair. The kitchen table was cramped with the 6 bar stools in the kitchen, the outdoor table also barely fit the space. This house needs new window coverings and just a few thoughtful touches, which would make it feel so much nicer. It just felt like a worn down rental instead of a comfortable, relaxing vacation space.

The only real complaint we had was that the water for showers never got above lukewarm. This is likely an easy fix by messing with the water heater settings. We look forward to coming here again next year!

It was so close to everything.(beach, walks, Safeway, Minature Golf, and frozen Yogurt.) the weather was the best, even at 68 to 74 degrees it was very warm. Be careful you can get sunburned in the high altitude. We all would recommend the home to anyone and we will come back again. Loved all of it. Even the beds were comfy and the pillows. It was a little warm up stairs but there were fans available and that helped. Loved Sand Harbor too it was about 10 or 15 min. drive. I give it a 5 star or more. I have already recommended it to a friend and she has made a call on it.
