Upon arrival to the ranch, the relaxing atmosphere and country setting begins to descend on you. No subdivisions here. Right in the middle of the Treasure Valley, you are 5 minutes from the freeway, restaurants, and grocery stores, but secluded enough to relax and rejuvenate. Whether you are here for a family or friends gathering, there will be a smile on your face.
This horse ranch house in Nampa offers 4 cozy bedrooms - 1 king bed and 2 queen beds plus an extra futon bed in the office. The 2 bathrooms feature a jetted bathtub for a relaxing soak. With amenities like AC, WiFi, and a washing machine, guests will feel right at home. Whether you're exploring the Treasure Valley, attending a horse show at the Ford Idaho Horse Center (4 miles away), or hosting a family event, this amazing property is perfect.
Enjoy watching the horses in our pastures or bring your own to our horse motel complete with arena, round pen and trail course for your use. Sorry, we do not have horses available for riding. Horse boarding and RV hookups are available for our house guests. Horse reservations are made on our website... The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:
Load and start the dishwasher
Strip any used beds and gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
Please pick up dog poop from the yard and dispose of it in the blue trash cans.
Trash goes out to the blue trash cans along the fence.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Please do not feed or touch the horses without permission. And please don't let the cats in the house.
No dogs allowed in the house w/o a guest present, unless in a kennel.
On the ranch, dogs must be on leash at all times, and please pick up after them. Please cleanup the yard before you leave.

The property was very clean and exactly as advertised online. The kitchen was very well stocked with pans, utensils, and housewares which made cooking easy. There were plenty of towels and lots of space. The check in process was simple and painless, as was check out. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.

We had a great time! This will be at the top of our list when we come here with the family! A few of us have hay allergies and we were a bit worried about that. But we did not take allergy medicine to see how we would do and we did not need them. Enjoyed the horses and cowboy themes throughout the place. We invited our families and friends to check out the place for when they come back again. Communication went well with the host. We just wished we could have stayed longer. But we will have to wait till next time.

Our family had an absolutely wonderful stay at Dunn Rite Ranch! The property was exceptionally clean, peaceful, and quiet - exactly what we were hoping for. Clean, spacious, close to shopping and restaurants, and the owners are fantastic people. A playground onsite provides some alternative entertainment for children. We thoroughly enjoyed staying at this location as it allowed us to gather our family together and have plenty of seating and space for kids to play and others to be comfortable. We loved this location and look forward to staying here again on our next visit to the area

I would highly recommend this home to anyone wanting to stay near town while also having the feel of being in the country. The home was very clean and had all of the necessary amenities. The front and back yard are both fenced in and well maintained. The home is very family friendly with a portable crib that we used for our baby and some toys that our toddlers loved, but their favorite part was being able to say hi to the horses and play at the play area on the property. Joyce, the host, was very accommodating and willing to help if we had any questions. We hope to be back again in the future!

We had a WONDERFUL three week stay at Dunn Rite Ranch! The home is lovely and Joyce and Don go above and beyond to see that the house is clean, comfortable, and stocked with just about everything you could possibly need. Their attention to hospitality on their property and the comfort of their guests is outstanding. It is a large home and the six of us had plenty of space. My husband was able to work from home and enjoyed the home office space. I loved having a large kitchen to cook in. And I even had plenty of room for a quilting project I finished while we were there! We also enjoyed the large fenced yard. Our dog loved to play fetch on the back lawn and we kept cool on the covered patio while our kids played, we barbecued, and the dog ran about the backyard. Our children also really enjoyed the playground on the ranch. The proximity to activities in Nampa and Boise makes it a great location. And it was so serene at the ranch! My daughter and I loved taking walks around the property to say hello to the horses and the cats! Joyce and Don are spectacular hosts and we really felt so welcomed and cared for during our stay. We have already booked the home for six weeks next summer! We would highly recommend Dunn Rite Ranch if you are looking for a home away from home in the Treasure Valley!

Don and Joyce, the owners, live on the ranch with their adult daughter, Rebecca, who has Down syndrome. We love horses and operate a horse motel as well as the Ranch House. We all love to meet the wonderful guests who come to our Ranch!

Why they chose this property

We moved into the neighborhood when it was very rural. Now, we are only 5 miles from fast food, Walmart and a hospital, but we still have a rural feel. We love sitting on the porch at night feeling the peace of the country.

What makes this property unique

When you rent the Ranch house, you are coming to a working horse ranch. We are close to town, but you are not coming to a subdivision. There is space to spread out and relax. Anyone who has spent time here will tell you that they have been able to bond with their group, and find a peaceful place to relax.
