Sunny Beach Cottage close to Yale 1.5 hr from NYC
Your Connecticut Beach House. Welcome to your Perfect Low-Key Getaway. 1.5 hours from NYC by train or car, plan your seaside escape to the Prospect Beach Haven stay in West Haven. It’s so peaceful here - walks on the beach - and perfect for staying in, renting a movie and sipping wine, or heading to New Haven 10 minutes by car or Uber for tons of cultural offerings. Restaurants of every taste (we recommend the famous New Haven pizza or seafood) or checking out bookshops around Yale.
The space
Our property is situated in a sleepy beachside neighborhood where you are steps away from the ocean. What we love most is how quiet the place is!
In the summer, it's relaxing days at the beach (we have all the beach gear and towels ready for you) and breakfast on the sunny patio in back. Check us out on IG at @prospectbeachhaven.
In the colder weather, it's snuggling in the super comfortable beds (memory foam toppers and super soft sheets!) or the cozy couch downstairs watching a movie after making a big dinner in the chef's kitchen.
There's brunch in New Haven or and taking in a museum or strolling through an old bookstore amongst the picturesque Yale campus, or taking a walk any time of the year on the beach after a pizza at the shop on the corner of the street.
We Love staying at our place when we aren't hosting guests and hope you'll feel as rejuvenated and rested as we do when we stay here. Please note: Parties are prohibited at the house. We are close with our neighbors and it is a very quiet neighborhood. Please respect our quiet hours and our house rules which state no house parties and no loud music after 10pm.

Entry to the house is by keypad code that generates upon your booking and ends on your checkout date.
Other things to note
* Note: City Law states we are required to book guests for stays no shorter than 7 days. Please message us for any questions.
*We have hosted families but our home is not toddler proofed.
*Absolutely no pets, we charge a $300 fine for any pets brought onto the property. We always know, so please be cool and don’t try to sneak them in, you will get charged.

I grew up in this neighborhood going to the beach, enjoying this quiet beach town and going into New Haven regularly.
What makes this property unique
Our home is steps from the beach and was appointed for relaxation. It’s our happy place away from the city to gather with friends and enjoy the ocean. A wonderful respite that we hope our guest will enjoy.
