Paradise!!!!

What a wonderful place to stay from getting to meet Ryan and enjoy all of the amenities. The thoughtfulness of key lime pie and other local specialties, kayaks, paddle boards, corn hole, bait bucket and fishing rods, and more. The outdoor seating was plentiful and the views are amazing!! We highly recommend enjoying this property.

Best vacation

Our experience was so wonderful I almost don't want to review the property so we can keep it our little secret! The property is amazing. The listing is a little hard to figure out in terms of layout so I'll start there. The entrance has parking for at least 10 cars. The first villa is a 2 bed 1 bath and is the main house. Villas 2 and 3 are 1 bed 1 bath and are set up like a duplex. Villa 4 is a 1 bed 2 bath plus an outdoor shower as well. Every villa has it's own stove, fridge, living room, sink, etc. Cabins 1 and 4 received new couches during our stay and are comfortable. The tiki hut is where we spent most our time and is in shade for most of the day. The kayaks and paddle boards were used constantly. There was also bocce, large connect four, large chess, frisbees, volleyballs, and corn hole. We brought a 23' Proline but only kept it in the water for short periods of time because there is no protection from storms. We could U-turn our trailer in the parking lot area, have the boat parked and still have lots of room for parking. The dock was deep enough for our 17" draft with the motor trimmed and fluctuating tides. We launched our boat at Mike Forster memorial park, it's a 3 mile drive and we never had issues getting in or out. We used Tavenier Creek to get ocean side, it's about a 20 min ride there and then another 5-10 to get through the cut. Overall it was a great place to stay, in a great location, lots of wildlife (on land and sea). The bay is literally like having a huge swimming pool just steps away and we were truly sad when our stay came to an end. The owner was accommodating and helpful throughout our stay. We can't wait to return.

Amazing Location!

We stayed at the Sunset Villas March 31st 2019-April 6th 2019 and had an amazing family vacation. We were a group of 8. My husband and I, 4 teen kids, and grandma and grandpa. Everyone had plenty of space. The location on the Bayside of Key Largo was great. Warm calm waters, beautiful sunsets, plenty of water toys to hop on anytime you want. My husband and kids went fishing right off the dock and caught wahoo and snapper for dinner. Lots of critters to enjoy (geckos, iguana, curly tail lizards, horseshoe crab, blue crab, small shark, sting ray, dolphin, pelican, lots of different fish and birds). The villas are older but have been remodeled and are very clean. All the villas have their own full kitchen with all the appliances and supplies you need. The host Ryan was very nice and helpful throughout our trip. You can tell he really cares about helping you have the best vacation possible. We would definitely stay at Sunset Villas again. Great place and price for a large group.

Amazing place perfect for families

The owner and team were great and the place was perfect for our small multi family gathering. I can’t think of a better place for our family to stay while in the keys. The bay with shallow water was perfect for our younger kids to play, paddle board, and kayak safely right off the compound and the independent units was perfect for putting young ones to bed and being able to enjoy some quiet time in an amazing setting. Sunset views were great and and again the owner was very responsive and accommodating to any questions. Will definitely stay again when in the area can’t thank the owners team enough for getting the place ready for our stay on time.

Fabulous Vacation Spot

The property is perfect for four to five couples or a large family to enjoy a very relaxing vacation looking out over the Florida Bay. The units are updated, clean and nicely decorated. The complex offers privacy, a walk-out beach, Tiki Hut, fire pit, boat dock and all of the water toys you could possibly want. The pictures you see don't lie. The sandy areas are clean. The palm trees are beautiful and every night there was a different sunset, one more beautiful than the last. Ryan, the property manager, is superb. He will greet you upon arrival, give you a walking tour of the complex and won't leave until he's answered all of your questions. You have his cell for any last minute questions or requests. He has big plans for the complex... a swimming pool, new boat dock and other amenities to make your next visit even better. This may be our best VRBO rental ever.

Unbelievable private property... a slice of paradise with everything you could dream of.

This property is a hidden gem.... Four private cottages that are refinished, clean and include all of the amenities that you could possibly ask for. Crystal clear waters every day with fishing off of the dock... sandy and private beach front... multiple social areas including two tiki huts and grilling areas. Our family stayed here for our wedding and we hope to come back every single year to celebrate what absolute paradise this property is. Ryan was an absolute pleasure to work with and especially accommodating for our family and our stay. If you are doubting the photos of this property, they sincerely don't even do this place justice!

Sunset Villa's was one of the best vacation spots our family has been privileged to stay at. The grounds and villas were clean and beautiful. Ryan was there to greet us upon our arrival. We saw beautiful sunsets along with fishing and crabbing off the pier. There were paddle boards, bocce ball, kayaks, fishing poles, volleyball, corn hole and more outdoor activities to enjoy every day of our stay. We were there for 10 gorgeous days with 8 of our family members and do not have any complaints.

Perfect for a gathering of friends & family

We never got over the view! Couldn’t stop looking at it. Sunsets were beyond spectacular. The separate accommodations provided privacy and quiet space for late risers or those wanting to go to bed early. We made the most of the outdoor spaces. Plenty of outdoor toys, games, etc. Owner was incredibly responsive to our questions before, during and after our stay. The planned improvements aren’t necessary but will take this little gem over the top! Look no further. This is the spot for you.

We had the best time!! 10 adults, 4 kids (9mo-3yrs) and there was plenty of room for all of us. The property is so beautiful, amazing sunsets! We played beach volleyball, went kayaking and paddle boarding, and snorkeling. Ryan was so accommodating- getting is pack-n-plays and booster chairs for the kids; he had wine and key west chocolates waiting for us. I texted him a few times needed recommendations and he was very quick to respond. Overall- best vacation that we’ve taken as a family. We will definitely be back.

Great for a large family vacation

The property was perfect for our large family. Enough space for privacy but togetherness also. The entire property is enclosed with a fence so we felt safe allowing the kids to play and roam. Fishing off the dock was great, we had sting rays, Manatee's, small sharks, and a school of Jack fish feeding right in front of the property. It had something for everyone. I would highly recommend it!

ABSOLUTELY PERFECT IN EVERY WAY!!

We cannot express how much we truly enjoyed staying at this property! We received permission to host our wedding on site and everything was absolutely perfect in every way. Ryan met us there and provided a tour of the compound upon check-in and he was super friendly, accommodating and professional. The property is absolutely beautiful and includes many amenities for a perfect beach vacation, including kayaks, paddle boards, corn hole game, basketball court, fire pit, tiki huts, gas grill, and plenty of comfortable lounge chairs and seating for your entire group. We had 11 people staying on site for the 4 day weekend, as well as hosted a total of 40 people on Friday and Saturday nights for wedding festivities and there was plenty of room for all. Beach area was PERFECT for a wedding ceremony and the sunsets are incredible! We have already talked about coming back for a regular vacation and can’t wait for the next renovation that will include a pool! Definitely one of the best finds in Key Largo on VRBO in terms of personalized service, amenities and value!!! Love, love, love Sunset Villas!!!!

A little slice of paradise

I came here with some friends for a girl's weekend and had the best time! Perfect for both relaxation and fun with a big group. Each individual villa was nicely stocked with kitchen supplies and provided extra privacy that is a bonus you don't often get when you are traveling with a group. Ryan was very attentive and quickly responded to any questions we had. We had a great stay and all hope to return one day....each of the girls talked about bringing extended family here on a different vacation as well! Perfect for a long weekend beach getaway.

Paradise! One of the best places we have ever stayed.

When we arrived at Sunset Villas we were blown away at the beauty. This is a perfect place for multiple families. The four villas are fully equipped for cooking all your meals and all the beds are comfortable. There are pull out couches in addition to the beds. The kayaks and paddle boards were a huge hit with the kids. My boys caught fish with almost every cast from the dock & we even brought our own boat and left it at the dock each night. There are lizards of all sizes running around the property. Each night we set out by the fire pit while the kids fished, played jumbo Jenga or corn hole. The grocery store is about 10 minutes from the house which makes it quick to grab things. Ryan goes above and beyond for his guests, any questions we had he was quick to respond and even helped when we needed to know where to go for certain things. He is very knowledgeable of the island. We arrived to a key lime pie, key lime chocolates, wine & local beers. We can’t wait to visit Sunet Villas again.

Vacation Paradise!

Looking for a vacation in PARADISE - look no further the best vacation spot in Key Largo. We cannot recommend this rental property any more highly. The owner is wonderful, courteous and prompt to respond to any needs you might endure during your stay. The villas are well maintained, clean, up to date and the furniture is perfect for an ocean setting.The villas have every amenity one could ever need (including a full stocked kitchen with coffee maker, washer and dryer etc.). The location is the best close to many activities, restaurants, grocery store and, great shopping. But during our 5 days we never had the need to leave because we had everything we needed at the villas. Our favorite actives were the fishing, paddle boarding, kayaking and the most amazing sunsets! I would highly recommend this as the best vacation spot especially if your looking for a vacation in PARADISE.

Ryan was great very responsive and helpful. The property is well managed and maintained. Pictures do not do this resort justice and the rooms are well appointed and completely remodeled. If your looking for a true laid back Keys Experience with your family or a group of friends it doesn't get any better. Private gated property with beautiful sandy beach and sunsets. You found your Florida Keys Family Oasis!

What a find! We are so happy to have found this spot! We have a large family, and the property offers 4 separate villas where we could all maintain our privacy and still be in the same place. Each villa features upgraded amenities, kitchen, bedroom, living space, etc. The grounds (which you have the entire campus- there is literally no one else sharing with you!) is large enough for the kids to play and run loose and still be in plain view of the adults (there is a huge grassy area centralized on the entire campus for kids, games, corn hole, etc) There are paddle boards, Kayaks, life-jackets, oars- everything you need for the "walk in" access to the bay. The beach starts off shallow for a good distance, so the kids are able to enjoy and run around in the water. There is a tiki hut (Perfect place to watch the famous keys sunset) an outdoor grilling area, a centralized tiki hut with a large table, lighting, and electric (to charge your phones, personal speakers, etc) outdoors. The campus has a TON of seating and loungers to enjoy the beach and soak up the sun. Villa #1 is large enough to host everyone for breakfast (or lunch/diner; but we grilled the rest of the time)- and quite spacious. The villas all have extra linens, pillows, towels, etc. There are also 2 laundry locations on the property. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and are already booking our return. Ryan (who operates and runs the villas) will take awesome care of you while your there; and responds to every communication promptly. He even got our family a birthday cake since we were going for the kids birthday. Overall, one of the most positive experiences and gorgeous locations I've found while using the HomeAway /VRBO search. I highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a private beach oasis for the entire family!

Sunset, Sand, and Solitude!

I stayed at Sunset Villas this past Summer and was wildly impressed! I am a South Florida native and this rental was by far the best we've ever been to! Driving in we were blown away by the view of the water and white sandy beach! The beach is massive and you're actually able to walk into the water from the beach to a nice clear, shallow, sandy bottom and gradually swim out if you want. The property is spacious enough that our family enjoyed our own villas and areas on the beach to ourselves and all met under the Tiki for happy hour gatherings in the afternoon and watched the unbelievable sunset every night! This place gave us everything we wanted and more! I highly recommend staying here and bringing the whole family!
