Amazing stay at Nirala’s Bella Vista! It looks exactly how it is in the posting and has an epic views from the balcony. Nirala was great and really helped us out with all her local tips. The cottage is positioned very close to shops and bars in charlotteville as well as Pirates bay (great sundowner spot). Couldn’t have had a better place to stay in the island. Would highly recommend to any onlookers! We’ll be returning!
We had a great time. It was our second time staying at Bella Vista. It was clean, cosy; just as we remembered. Waking up to flocks of parrots in the mango tree, the sound of waves and the view of the bay each morning was idyllic.
Very good accommodation (for a couple) in a beautiful location on its own on a forested mountainside accessed 800m up a steep hill outside a beautiful charming village. Cottage has wonderful views of the sea and the village. Not suitable for children, elderly people or wheelchairs
The view is amazing! We loved birdwatching! The kitchen wasn’t 100% clean and we shared the apartment with some animals so please take this into account when booking it!

Allow me to clarify that the 'animals' are geckos/lizards. It is normal to have a couple around a tropical house in a rainforest. As for cleanliness, we work very hard to make this a 5 star experience which includes checking in with guests. Had you raised any concerns when asked, instead of saying everything looks fine, I would've sent someone right away.
The Bella Vista cottage was so much more than I had hoped for. Gorgeous views, comfy space, amazing deck. All you would ever need. I had the most peaceful and relaxing time. Thank you so much for all the beautiful touches!
I first saw this property on an online search 3 years ago. I fell in love with it then, and had to wait over 2 years to come due to availability and then the pandemic. They say good things come to those who wait, and they weren't wrong. This is a most special accommodation. Everything is great. Having breakfast with hummingbirds is worth the visit alone. The village is timeless, the people charming and friendly. Nirala is on hand all the time and couldn't be more helpful. I hope to be back one day.
My husband and I stayed here for three nights and we did not want to leave, we found this place most relaxing and peaceful. The cottage is as described and as shown in the pictures. The view from the deck is amazing which we enjoyed every morning while drinking our coffee before venturing down for a morning dip. You can also enjoy a lovely rest in the hammock while listening to the beautiful sounds all around. Nirala is a perfect host, available and helpful with suggestions and recommending various places to visit and eat. Nirala got us set up for a wonderful afternoon boat ride, which was totally delightful. We hope to return to Tobago and if we do will certainly look no further than this perfect spot. Thanks Nirala for sharing your little piece of heaven.
The property was beautiful and had a lovely Caribbean feel. The view from the deck was stunning, watching village life and the local fishermen in their boats. You can walk to Pirates Bay but it is quite a haul back up the steps. If you want a lift there or to Lovers Bay one of the fishermen will take you.
We would recommend asking for Jagga - just ask at the pier - and he will take you. He will also take you fishing which was the highlight of my husbands stay. He went three times with Jagga and had the best time. Just say Patsy and Paul sent you.
Argyl Falls was lovely too. Our guide Brian took us around the falls and we were able to sit underneath it and swim in the pool so take you swimwear.
If, like me, biting insects treat you like a running buffet then be prepared. Thank you Rhonda for saving my life by getting some antihistamine from Scarborough for me. Such a wonderful thing to do for me.
We will definitely go back. Charlotteville is such a beautiful place to stay; the people were super friendly and the accommodation was fabulous.
Bella Vista Cottage is one that I would recommend to anyone seeking a peaceful and serene getaway from the hustle and bustle. The place is clean, cozy and very well kept. The scenery all around is picturesque with the front porch overlooking the beautiful and calm ocean. Access to the beach is extremely easy, with tours to the surrounding beaches readily accessible. It is definitely a place that I would be staying at in future.
I love this place! If you want a getaway from it all place this is it! The location is amazing,: view is incredible and high enough up above the sea to catch a nice breeze, walking distance to beach, and surrounded by nature in all directions. The place is clean but do expect insects and rodents. Water and electricity can come and go.
PRICELESS! Nirala's slice of Heaven was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. First let me start with that VIEW the minute you step thru the Door. SPEECHLESS. The cottage is Very Clean. Everything that you need to call Bella Vista Home while visiting is in the Cottage. Charlottesville, The Island The People THE FOOD!! Mr G Tasty Kitchen, SUCKHOLE, Seaside Kitchen & a must the Blue & Coral House aka Lyndon & Camela's. All Delish & Very Reasonable..Last but not Least Nirala is a Super Host & a New Found Friend, when I mentioned we were Renewing our Vows after 25 years of Marriage she found the Resources we would need to do so without even asking her.. We DEFINITELY will be BACK!! Thanks Again Nirala for Sharing Your Slice of Heaven with US!! Jen
