Overall, this is a wonderful and spacious home — perfect for families looking for a comfortable stay. We truly enjoyed our time here. A few small updates to the ground floor bathroom and pillows would make it absolutely perfect!

We really liked the layout of the house. It was spacious, had a large couch in the living room and a large dining table. The entry foyer space was convenient, giving us a place to leave shoes, jackets, and bags that would otherwise clutter the dining area. The driveway was easily accessible with a clear view. The screened porch was a nice area. The multiple outdoor porches were also nice, giving views from different sides of the house. We enjoyed the game room. The pool table had some wear but was sturdy and level. An improvement would be to upgrade the mattresses.

We thought the house was really nice and spacious.

We specifically rented this house for its size, location and hot tub. We were informed a few days before our rental that the hot tub was not working . Other than the hot tub not working it was a nice stay .

Decent Stay

Overall the property was decent. There were a few issues, such as, 2 out of 3 toilets constantly clogging. There were no sheets on any of the beds, only mattress pads, and some were stained with urine. Not all amenities that were paid for were available due to being broken from previous occupants. And the blinds on the back door could not be closed because half of the slats were ripped, torn, or missing. But besides those things, the stay was decent.

The homeowners have discussed your comments with their cleaners and are committed to maintaining the highest standard for cleaning. As mentioned in the listing, guests are supposed to bring/rent bed linens. Homeowners ensure that clean mattress protectors/sheets on each bed are ready for bed linens brought by guests. As per instructions shared with you, only septic-safe toilet paper is supposed to be used in toilets, as anything else may cause clogging. Blinds on the back door are cordless and supposed to be lifted up/down using both hands. There are instructions near the blinds explaining the correct way to operate, and incorrect operation might have led to missing slats. The homeowners would certainly have appreciated an opportunity to address your concerns immediately and during your stay, especially when they sent their property manager to address an unrelated question you had. The homeowners work diligently to ensure their home is maintained and clean to the highest standards and take guest satisfaction seriously. The property was filthy and smelled. Carpenter ants and termites were found throughout house, many in the shower area. We have written an extensive review on the Evolve website and sent many pictures documenting the experience to the management company for review. We contacted the Guest Contact regarding no gas in the gas grill. He told us to go out and fill it. He did get back to us quickly, however, we did not contact him again with any complaints due to that response. We could not in good conscience recommend this property. In fact, we shortened our stay because it was unpleasant.

We take our guests' experience seriously and are sorry that your experience was not up to the mark. Our cleaners make sure that the house is clean and that there is gas in the propane tank before each guest checks-in. During your week-long stay, the propane in the tank was used, and we could not arrange for a refill immediately. We gave you the option of waiting a couple of hours for us, but you decided to refill it from the local gas station. Thank you for letting us know that the towel rack fell after you accidentally bumped into it. We also inspected all of the kitchen utensils, and we found one cracked baking pan and one dull knife out of six. We are replacing these items. House and surrounding areas so much to do up there.

We had 4 adults and two teenagers, we had a little problem with the TV, but after talking to mgmt on the phone, we were able to correct the problem. The place is very nice, the game room was awesome, we couldn't use the hot tub because of previous bad weather in that area. Repairman would be coming out one day this week to make repairs. So who rents after us I hope you get to use it. Would I recommend this place. YES, mgmt was very nice to us. Master bedroom is down stairs with its own bathroom, which really good for me.. The is also a 1/2 bathroom on the 1st floor near the back door. Fire place work well. You need your own wood there is a place on Route 534 it is a Gulf gas station which sells fire wood. Reilly's is were we ate a couple times while we were there which is located on Route 903. We also went to Mount Airy Casino not much luck this time but had a good time. The other couple and the teenagers went tubing on Sat. they said the had an awesome time. Thanks to mgmt..

Place was ok but we wouldn’t stay here again.

Overall the place was ok, but for the price we’d pick somewhere else. We payed a lot per night and also a large cleaning fee, but had to bring our own linens, clean some messes left behind when we arrived and remove our own trash before we left. So we wondered what the cleaning fee was for. The basement was cold and damp. There was only one useable pool stick for the pool table. The iron didn’t work and the water in the hot tub was cloudy. One bedroom has a closet for hanging clothes, but not one dresser to put non hanging clothes, so they had to go on the floor. There was a large stain of some sort on the sofa. I sent the owner pics in an email when we arrived with no response back. Overall the place could use some touching up and we’ll pick something else next time.

The location of this house couldn’t have been more perfect. It was beautiful and peaceful. Wildlife everywhere and within walking distance to a beautiful lake. The house itself was very clean and comfortably fit 8 of us!

Albright sculls in December.

I want to start off by saying that overall we had a fantastic time this weekend. The host was very friendly and answered emails quickly. The deer in the woods around the house were a joy to watch in the mornings. The house is a bit dated. It could use a good deep cleaning and a fresh coat of paint. The pots are very old and the oven looks like it hasn’t been cleaned in months. Quite a few of the dishes are chipped and one of the glasses looks like it had been glued back together. The air vents and shelves are covered in dust. The pool cues in the game room are basically useless as they have pretty much no tips left. On a positive note, the bathrooms were cleaned and the basic paper / cleaning supplies were provided. The fireplace worked great and there was ample hot water for multiple consecutive showers. The dining was really nice, especially with the extended table. There was plenty of room for everyone. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. Thank you!

Bargain Price for Bargain Home

Our trip went well, check in was easy. The home was relatively clean. There's no seating in the game room, which was a bummer but we just brought our own lawn chairs to use. There is a hot tub but guests aren't allowed to use it. The neighborhood is clean, quiet and friendly. We would stay here again.

Disappointing

I booked this place for my sister’s bachelorette. The place had an awesome game room, ample amount of beds and a big hangout area. However we walked into a filthy house. It was so disappointing. Everything was sticky, a huge mess frozen in the freezer, hair in the bathroom, etc. We spent a good amount of time cleaning but still felt uncomfortable taking off our shoes in the place. I reached out right away. At first, I was told the floors were just sticky because it was still drying. Once I showed pictures and asked for a refund of the cleaning fee our contact person complied. While he did rectify the situation it was still super disappointing and annoying.
