Camp Owl's Nest at The Whiteface Club & Resort on Lake Placid

Lake Placid is a great destination for your family getaway and enjoy the the many outside activities including swimming in Lake Placid to bicycling in the trails to hiking etc.

This very desirable custom built home is located on the Whiteface Club and Resort properties in Lake Placid and is perfect for a family vacation. Our beautiful home has full lake access and is within walking distance to the beach / waterfront, marina and 3 restaurants, including the beautiful Lake Placid Lodge. Walk to our 18 hole championship golf course, six clay court tennis center or stroll down to the beach complete with kayaks, paddle boards, canoes and sailboats, (sailing lessons offered) . During winter, enjoy the cross-country skiing or snowshoe facilities at the Nordic center and direct access to the historic jack rabbit trail.

Our home is air conditioned, has two full kitchens ,one on the main floor and one on the ground floor. Three beautiful masonry stone fireplaces, one which is located in a screened-in porch off of the main deck of the main floor, give this home a cozy and delightful atmosphere during every season. It is tastefully decorated with Adirondack furnishings, some of which are hand made by local artists and designers.

Our home sits high and commands breathtaking views of lake placid, Whiteface Mountain and the High Peaks. The village of Lake Placid is a 1 1/2 mile ride away and a great place to enjoy antiques, boutiques, restaurants , cafes and a theater built in the 1800's.

Included with you booking you will receive unlimited golf for all guest at the Championship Golf Course at the Whiteface Club and Resort. You will be given full membership to all the amenities at the Whiteface Club unlimited golf, tennis, beach access, and in winter the cross country ski trails for all guest are included with your booking.

Great Accommodations in ADK

My family of 6 + infant had a perfect mid-summer vacation. Camp Owl's Nest is a unique property that combines a rustic cabin experience with elegant accommodations.The included membership to the Whiteface Club & Resort is a super perk. We worked a lot into 4 days: golf, tennis, fly fishing, hiking, sightseeing and fine dining. Only complaint: interior lighting is too dim.

Beautiful cabin type property minutes from town! What I think I loved the most about the property is the upstairs and downstairs can be basically separate, so if you have a younger audience they can do their own thing and come in and out of the home without disturbing who's upstairs. Loved it

Amazing!

We had the most amazing time. The place is huge and beautifully decorated with top of the line amenities. The outdoor screened in room with a large stone fireplace was my favorite. It was raining while we were there so it allowed us to be outside, but stay warm and cozy. I could go on an on about how top notch Owl's Nest is. Andrew, the owner, was so pleasant to speak with. I can't wait to go back again!

ADK luxury!

We had an incredible stay! The house is absolute perfection. We celebrated Christmas with our family here and loved having two kitchens and living spaces so that we had a place to gather when our baby was asleep in the master bedroom. The house is stunning- the pictures don’t do it justice. It is beautifully decorated and has everything you need. We were happily surprised by the 3 Christmas trees! The beds are incredibly comfortable, the fireplaces are beautiful, and the view of lake placid is awesome. It’s the perfect mountain mansion!

Everything as expected!!

We had a lovely stay at Camp Owl's nest. House was clean and well appointed. It handled our large crowd (10 adults) with no problems. Andrew was super accommodating. Views from the living room were lovely when it wasn't snowing. I would highly recommend this rental to anyone who wants to spend some time in Lake Placid with a large group. Thank you Andrew for sharing your lovely home with us!!!!

January family vacation

As an after the holidays get together for our family, every expectation was met. The house was beautiful, impeccably maintained, and very user friendly. All of the amenities were clear for our use. The staples that were provided helped us not use ours that we packed, but we replaced for the next lucky family to have as well. The child gates were greatly appreciated as our inquisitive grandchildren wanted to explore. It gave us an opportunity to keep them safe and on the same level with us when needed. Definitely a top notch home that is clearly loved by all! Absolutely gorgeous covered in snow, but we look forward to renting again in the fall to enjoy even more of what the area has to offer.
