Just what you need to do nothing — or everything.
Set within Lake Placid's Whiteface Club & Resort on the west shore of Lake Placid, our two-bedroom, two-bath end-unit condo is a true four-season Adirondack escape. You're surrounded by 400 acres of resort grounds, yet only about 3 miles from downtown Lake Placid and approximately 20 minutes from Whiteface Mountain.
In winter, the Jackrabbit Trail runs right through the property and the golf course transforms into a Nordic and cross-country ski center, with groomed trails winding through the resort. The golf pro shop becomes the Nordic center, and the Café on the Green makes a great spot to warm up afterward with food and drinks. Whiteface Mountain offers world-class downhill skiing and snowboarding nearby, while Lake Placid itself offers skating on the Olympic Oval, Olympic venues, events and all the history that comes with being one of America's great winter-sports towns.
When the snow melts, the Adirondacks open up in an entirely different way. Hike everything from easy family trails to the legendary 46 High Peaks. Fish world-class trout waters, explore countless lakes and streams, paddleboard, kayak or canoe, play 18 holes of golf, enjoy clay-court tennis or pickleball, or simply spend time along the Lake Placid waterfront.
The Whiteface Club grounds include an 18-hole golf course, tennis and pickleball, lake access, marina facilities in season, Nordic skiing in winter, magnificent gardens and two restaurants within walking distance. Enjoy dinner overlooking Lake Placid at the seasonal Moose Lodge Boathouse or walk over to the Café on the Green beside the golf course.
The Jackrabbit Trail is right outside and winds through the woods and along the lake, making it equally enjoyable for an easy walk, a family outing or a winter ski.
And then there is everything beyond the resort.
The Lake Placid region is home to extraordinary hiking, mountain biking, fishing, boating, paddling, waterfalls, scenic drives and Olympic attractions. The Ausable River and surrounding Adirondack waters offer outstanding trout and other fishing. Downtown Lake Placid offers restaurants, shops, breweries, Mirror Lake and the Olympic Center, while nearby High Falls Gorge, the High Peaks, Keene Valley and Whiteface Mountain provide endless opportunities to explore.
Of course, you don't have to do any of it.
Sometimes the best part of being here is simply slowing down.
Our condo is an end unit offering additional privacy, hardwood floors, a full kitchen, washer and dryer, two full baths and a comfortable living space with a fireplace. Step outside onto the private patio in the morning and enjoy the Adirondack setting and sunrise toward Whiteface Mountain, then come home after a day outside and relax by the fire.
The condo comfortably sleeps six.
Sleeping arrangements:
Primary bedroom: King bed — sleeps 2
Second bedroom: Twin bed plus a bunk bed with a full-size bed on the bottom and a twin bed on top — sleeps 4
Maximum occupancy: 6 guests.
Whether you're here to ski Whiteface, cross-country ski right from the resort, begin your quest for the 46 High Peaks, fish an Adirondack stream, paddle Lake Placid, play golf or tennis, explore the Olympic venues, enjoy the restaurants and shops downtown — or simply sit quietly and do absolutely nothing — this is a wonderful place to call home while you're here.
Lake Placid really does offer something in every season. This is the place to experience it.
