Our stay was a pleasant surprise. The house was newly renovated and even nicer than the online pictures. Our host Demarcus was quick to respond to our questions and needs. We will stay there again when we go back to visit my granddaughter, a student at UI C

The unit was not particularly clean -- the wood floors were muddy, the bathroom floor dirty, and under the kitchen sink we discovered a moldy can of tomatoes that was leaking black liquid. There were no working smoke detectors. Also, the only utensils were an assortment of forks, knives and spooons and an egg whisk. Cooking devices were very limited -- 2 pots, one of which was badly burned, 2 skillets and one baking sheet.
The cleanliness of the house wasn’t necessarily up to par. The host was very kind and helped whenever possible. Check-in process should have been explained before the check-in time (4pm). We were outside of the house waiting on a response from the host in order to get into the home itself. Please explain to residents how to get into the home beforehand. Also, please provide the towels, extra sheets, blankets, trash bags, paper towel, etc. We had to buy our own. Other than that, it was a nice space with plenty of room for residents to sleep. Plenty of TV’s and great kitchen. The backyard was very nice as well! Overall, I’d give the stay a 3.5 out of 5.
