Summary:
DCCA #820024
Tucked away in the peaceful wilderness of La Pine, Oregon, Little Deschutes Wildlife Lodge offers the perfect mountain escape. Located near the Cascade Lakes Scenic Byway and just a short drive from Sunriver and Bend, you’ll have endless opportunities for hiking, fishing, kayaking, or exploring volcanic landscapes. And with the Little Deschutes River flowing nearby, you’ll be treated to serene water views and the soothing sound of rushing currents right from your backyard.
The Space:
Step inside and be welcomed by soaring peaked ceilings and the warm, rustic charm of a true log cabin. The spacious living room invites you to relax by a grand floor-to-ceiling stone fireplace, framed by tall windows that capture breathtaking views. Sink into the couch or cozy armchairs with a board game and a cup of coffee in hand. The kitchen is equally inviting, with rich wood cabinetry, stone counters, stainless appliances, and both Keurig and drip coffee options at the ready. A large island with seating for four opens seamlessly into the dining area, where an oversized table for eight encourages long meals and great conversation.
Wild turkey, deer, squirrels, chipmunks, beavers, birds of all kinds and more frequently visit. There is no shooting or hunting on the property.
LD Wildlife Lodge is a breathtaking sight! Take in the splendor, the intricate details, and the hand picked logs! Your experience here will be truly unique. Throughout the custom built cabin, you’ll find quiet nooks perfect for reading or sipping a glass of wine, and upstairs, both balconies offer peaceful spots to take in the fresh air and natural beauty. Downstairs, the deck provides outdoor dining for four and a grill for barbecues. Just beyond, a firepit and picnic table sit beside the river—an unforgettable spot for evening s’mores or morning coffee with mountain views. When the sun sets behind the mountains, you'll be treated to star-filled skies unlike anywhere else. Whether you're seeking connection, solitude, or scenic exploration, this cabin is the perfect place to recharge and reconnect with nature.
