Ideally located on the unspoiled southeastern coastline of Hawaii's Big Island, the Turtle Paradise is a spacious Polynesian-style condo for your dream vacation in Hawaii.

The Turtle Paradise is a true one-bedroom condo, not a studio. It has two full levels: level one includes the foyer, bedroom, and bath; level two is the great room, which runs the entire width of the unit and comprises the living room, dining room, full kitchen, and full-length lanai. The great room has soaring vaulted, wooden beamed ceilings and ceiling fans in both the living and dining rooms. The lanai has two beautiful teak dining tables and seating for four.

Amenities include:
—a fully-stocked kitchen with new appliances, including a full-size refrigerator and range, microwave, coffee maker and grinder, rice cooker, toaster, and more
—top quality beach chairs, a beach umbrella, mats and coolers
—washer and dryer

The condo community is ideally located mid-way between the towns of Kona and Hilo, along the beautiful Punalu'u black sand beach, which is the most expansive and easily accessible black sand beach on the Big Island, famous for its sea turtles, sunbathing, and coastal hikes. Just a short drive away, you will find a variety of sites and activities to explore, including the spectacular and recently reopened Volcanoes National Park, the magnificent Green Sands Beach, Kula Kai Caverns, the Ka'u Coffee Mill & Museum, golf courses, spas and more!

This really is a 10 minute walk to a black beach with TONS of sea turtles. We lost count of how many we saw. The parking is excellent. And we loved the lanai where a gecko joined us for breakfast one morning. The kitchen is well equipped. The host is very responsive.

The condo was extremely charming! The instructions regarding arrival were extremely clear and they left is with zero questions. The condo it selfwas clean and very charming. The location was perfect. The black sand beach is less than a 5 min walk and very stunning. Volcano National apark was less than 30 min away. The pool was crisp and refreshing and the hot tub was delightful. I would definitely recommend as well as return! Just loved it!

Wonderful Stay

We had a great stay. This is the first time we have stayed outside of Kona. The location was perfect for the wedding we were attending. We enjoyed our moring walk on Black Sand Beach watching the turtles play in the surf and lay in the sun. The grounds were beautiful and the pool and hot tub were nice. I would recommend staying here.

Loved our stay!

We very much enjoyed staying here for 2 weeks! It had everything we needed for our time in the condo and lots available to us for our daily excursions - cooler, beach chairs, beach umbrella, etc. It's a beautiful home in a very nice complex, which is a short walk to a fabulous black sand beach. The pool and hot tub were so nice! We would love to return some day!

My family of 4, including to kids ages 7 & 9, enjoyed this condo for 3 nights. The grounds and the condo are great! Easy to get to black sand beach, which was great for snorkeling but rocky so bring water shoes. My 7 year old was amazed snorkeling with the turtles. This was a great price and great condo!

Unexpected gem

We loved our visit. The place has everything you need (all well labeled and easy to find). The place was clean and in order. We felt ‘at home’. I would definitely stay here again (and for a longer time). We enjoyed sitting on the lanai in the morning watching the white caps on the ocean, listening to the birds, and enjoying the calm.

My husband and I lived in Oahu, Hawaii when my husband was in the Army. We always dreamed of retiring on the Islands but never thought it would be possible, but dreams do come true! We haven't retired yet but this will be our home someday and until then we want to share it with you.

Why they chose this property

We found this complex when visiting the Big Island in 2015. We stayed in a condo like this one and fell in love with the area. We were drawn to this part of the island, a little more laid back. The beach is in walking distance, the pool and hot tub are great and the location was just perfect.

What makes this property unique

Sea Colony is ideally located between Hilo and Kona. We are walking distance to Punaluu Black Sands Beach. We are close to Volcano National Park, Green Sands Beach, South Point, Coffee Farms, and much more. We are a quiet community with the sound of the ocean and birds heard daily. Very relaxing, no need to leave the area either. Walk to the beach, come home to a meal or grill at the pool. Jump in the pool and end the day at the hot tub. Then back to the condo to fall asleep to the sound of the ocean.
