Creekside Cabin Getaway

Looking for a getaway? Come to Creekside Cabin just outside city limits to test out
"Tiny House Living"! All the amenities of home only smaller. This is a great place! Sit by the creek and listen to the water run or cozy up to the "Tiny" wood burning fireplace to get away from it all. We also have a fire pit out front- please bring wood if your wanting to use. This is a 3 level cabin- there is a spiral staircase to get to the 2nd floor which is narrow and maybe challenging for older/ or not so agile folks. The stairs to the 3rd floor are regular stairs and 3rd floor sleeping area has low ceilings that you may not be able to stand up straight. Fun little place to rest your head and if your looking for something different... then this would be the place for you!
Situated right on the Minnesota State Snowmobile trails. Trails also great for walking/4 wheeling/ biking. We do have chickens & a dog on our property. You are not alone on this property we live in the house off to the left of the cabin.

Pets not allowed


Our wi-if can get sketchy at times because of where we are located.

This is a great spot for a peaceful and cozy experience. It is close to lots of hiking, river views, and places to eat and shop. The best part is you are close but feel like you are out of town and remote. It is clean and the host is helpful and kind. The only thing travelers should note is that the spiral staircase from the first floor to the second is beautiful and rustic but steep. If you have any mobility issues that make stairs hard, you would not be able to get to the sleeping area.

This is our second visit and we're thinking about a third. For us, it's a relaxing space with all we need as a base to travel around the area, read a book, or sit on the patio or balcony and watch the birds. Tanya, Damon (and Jasper) are wonderful hosts and we enjoyed chatting with them.

We stayed for three nights, and were happy to get this place on rather short notice. The kitchen was gorgeous, with a clean modern vibe, and everything was very clean. Comfy beds. Perhaps not the best place if you are super tall (I am 5’5” and could stand in the middle portion of the 3rd floor, my husband could not.) As seniors with sensitive knees, we did find the spiral staircase a bit challenging, but over time got used to the climb, using the railings to assist. We really appreciated the effective main level and bedroom level A/C, as well as the main level dehumidifier, as temps were in the 90’s every day. The second level is a cosy living area with sofa and TV and streaming services. Location is close to town. The fireplace is a nice touch, but we didn’t use it or the firepit, or the porch. Just too hot out!

Absolutely no way to get any luggage up to the third floor where the beds are. Stairs so steep and high up it was extremely creepy and scary. Didn’t even end up staying there. Went for a hotel in town. Host wouldn’t refund or help at all

Winona Retreat

I absolutely loved my stay, the property was fantastic and Winona is a beautiful place. I was by myself for some solitude and the creekside cabins get away was a great fit.

Wonderful weekend

Everything is as promised and we enjoyed the house. Enjoyed talking with Tanya and Jasper and one of the chickens visited us on the balcony. We also enjoyed walking by the creek.It is on the list of properties we want to come back to next year.

We just did a major remodel of the cabin so if you have been here before you will love all the upgrades!!! If not, WELCOME! I can’t wait for you to enjoy the new space!

We bought this property approx. 4 years ago... knowing it needed some TLC... however, we couldn't beat the fact it was minutes away from town and had a country like setting. There is a garage located next to the driveway of the cabin where we have a renter and little did we know my really good friends uncle lives there... small world indeed. He still lives there and is a great cook.. :)
