Escape to our charming 825 sq ft A-frame cabin with a cozy loft with a king bed and 2 floor level twin bunks. The perfect place for couples looking for a romantic, magical getaway, small families finding time to connect, adventure and explore, or individuals looking for a mountain retreat for business or alone time. Nestled in the pines of Twin Lakes at the foot of Mt Elbert, bordering San Isabel National Forest, there is something here for everyone. Just minutes from hiking, biking, fishing, boating, paddle boarding, the shores of Colorado's largest glacial lakes, or Mt Elbert Forebay, breathtaking views, the Continental Divide, or Old Historic Twin Lakes, farm stands, and more.

The little A frame cabin was great. We are a family of three and our dog and it fit us perfectly. It was clean. Well stocked to cook. The location is great. Having to take your trash with you is the only odd thing. Luckily we had a truck with a camper shell and live only a few hours away to take a week’s worth of trash with us. Other than that we loved it and enjoyed our stay.

Thank you for the review. I’m sorry about the trash situation in this area but as explained in detail in the house rules, there is a drop off spot a few miles from the house. Sorry for any inconvenience. Thank you for staying at our cabin!

We love hiking, backpacking, paddle boarding, taking our kids places and spending time with family. We are so excited to VRBO this Cabin so that others can enjoy our favorite area of Colorado!

Why they chose this property

Twin lakes has been one of my wife and I’s favorite places since before we were even married. We only dreamt of owning a home here until we found this a-frame, a dream come true! With Mt Elbert as our back yard, the lakes down below, direct access to the continental divide, the aspen groves and so much more, we could not be happier to have a home here and to share it with you!

What makes this property unique

We absolutely love the coziness of our 852sqft A-frame. With gorgeous, big windows in the front and a loft for sleeping. It backs up right to national forest, guaranteeing privacy, a quiet and peaceful environment and access to pristine wilderness right out the front door. A 10 minute drive to the lakes, Mt Elbert summit trail next door, gorgeous aspen groves to see in all seasons, it’s no wonder it’s our favorite place to be.
