Rich, I’m sorry the area was not what you expected when you arrived. I do want to clarify a few things for future guests. The home itself has been fully gutted and remodeled, and the roof and siding are only about 2 years old, so thankfully our house is not the one auditioning for a haunted house movie. This is also a city property, and like most major cities, the neighborhood has older homes, busy streets, ongoing renovations, and plenty of character. The house across the street was in the middle of a remodel during your stay, which I understand can affect first impressions. Regarding the driveway and parking area, we maintain it every year with fresh gravel. Your stay was in early March, when Buffalo winter and thaw conditions make it tough to redo exterior gravel work until the ground firms up. The driveway has since been redone and is in great shape now. While we cannot control every neighboring property or city street condition, we do take pride in maintaining our home, communicating honestly, and giving guests a clean, comfortable place to stay.
