About this property

The Keuka Cove House - Lakefront + Private Dock - Sleeps 16

Welcome to the Keuka Cove House — a restored 1894 lakefront home on Keuka Lake, located just down the hill from Crispin Hill wedding venue and Abandon Brewing, minutes from downtown Penn Yan, Keuka College, wineries, breweries, restaurants, and the heart of Finger Lakes wine country.

For more property photos, local recommendations, seasonal updates, and behind-the-scenes improvements, follow the Keuka Cove House on Instagram and Facebook.

ABOUT THE PROPERTY

The Keuka Cove House is designed for groups who want to gather together without feeling crowded. The home comfortably sleeps 16 guests across 8 bedrooms and offers 4.5 bathrooms, multiple kitchens, spacious living areas, expansive porches, lake views, outdoor gathering spaces, and private lakefront access with dock use.

Originally built in 1894, the home blends restored historic charm with modern comfort. It is ideal for family gatherings, wedding weekends, reunions, wine trips, Keuka College visits, and group getaways.

The property is always private and never shared. When you book the Keuka Cove House, your group has exclusive use of the home, outdoor spaces, lakefront area, and dock.

LAYOUT & DESIGN

One of the most unique features of the Keuka Cove House is its flexible four-space layout. The property functions as one large home, while still giving guests the ability to spread out into more private sleeping and living areas.

The main house offers the largest shared gathering spaces, including comfortable living areas, dining space, a full kitchen, lake-facing porches, and several bedrooms.

The additional private spaces/units provide separate sleeping areas, private bathrooms, kitchenette-style convenience, and added flexibility for couples, grandparents, families with kids, or guests who prefer a quieter place to retreat at the end of the night.

Each of the four units has its own private entrance with keyless entry, giving guests added convenience and flexibility throughout the stay. The spaces are also connected and designed to function together as one cohesive home, making it easy for your group to gather, move between areas, and enjoy the property together.

This setup makes the home especially well suited for large groups that want both shared spaces for meals, games, coffee, wine, and lake time, plus private areas where guests can unwind, sleep comfortably, and have their own space.

FLEXIBLE STAY OPTIONS

The Keuka Cove House is primarily designed and priced as a full-property rental for larger groups who want exclusive use of the home, lakefront, dock, outdoor spaces, and all four private units.

That said, the flexible four-unit layout can also work well for smaller groups depending on the season, availability, and the type of stay you are planning. If your group does not need access to every sleeping area, please send an inquiry through Vrbo before booking and share a little about your group size, preferred dates, and sleeping arrangement needs.

The property is still rented to only one group at a time, so your stay remains private and never shared with another reservation. Depending on availability, we may be able to discuss a layout that better fits your group while keeping the home private, comfortable, and easy to enjoy.

About the host

Hosted by Josh Brubaker

Host profile image
Hi, I’m Josh! I’m proud to welcome guests to the Keuka Cove House. I grew up in a small town in Andover, NY, but some of my best memories were made right here on Keuka Lake. My grandparents and uncle had a place on the West Bluff, and summers here quickly became the highlight of my childhood.

Keuka Lake has always held a special place in my heart, and I’ve often said that one day I’d love to own a home here. When the opportunity came to purchase what was once the historic Hart-Scott, I knew it was my chance to carry forward its legacy while creating something fresh for future guests.

Hosting at the Keuka Cove House is my way of sharing the peace, joy, and beauty of the lake that’s given me so much. Whether you’re visiting to unwind by the water, reconnect with loved ones, or make new memories, I’m happy to open this little piece of paradise to you.

Why they chose this property

Keuka Lake is one of the most beautiful and peaceful places in the Finger Lakes — surrounded by vineyards, small-town charm, and some of the best sunsets in upstate New York. It’s a place that blends relaxation with adventure, where you can spend the morning on the water and the evening exploring local wineries or lakeside restaurants.

I chose this area because it feels like home — it’s where lifelong memories are made, where neighbors become friends, and where every season brings something special. My goal with the Keuka Cove House is to give guests the same sense of joy, peace, and belonging that Keuka Lake has always given me.

What makes this property unique

What makes the Keuka Cove House truly special is its rare combination of historic charm, lakefront living, and a flexible four-unit layout designed for group stays.

The home is rented exclusively as one private property, making it ideal for family reunions, wedding weekends, group getaways, and retreats. Guests can gather together in spacious shared areas for meals, games, coffee, wine, and lake time, then unwind in more private sleeping quarters when they’re ready to recharge.

That balance is what makes the property so unique. With four separate units under one roof, each with private entry and keyless access, guests can enjoy the connection of being together while still having space for couples, families, grandparents, or individuals to relax on their own.

Inside, guests will find a blend of timeless design details, comfortable gathering spaces, multiple kitchens, updated bathrooms, and thoughtful amenities. Outside, the property offers private lakefront access, dock use, covered decks, fire pits, yard games, and plenty of space to enjoy the peace and beauty of Keuka Lake.

Whether you’re sipping coffee on the porch, sharing stories by the fire, spending the day by the water, or watching the sunset across the lake, the Keuka Cove House offers a stay that feels both spacious and personal — a place where groups can reconnect without feeling crowded.
