We’re high school sweethearts who’ve always dreamed of a beach home! Living in The Woodlands and traveling for work, we cherish Gilchrist’s slower pace. With two teens, we’re all about making memories here — from marsh-view mornings to beach strolls at sunset. We hope our cozy home helps you relax, unwind, and create your own special moments by the sea!
Why they chose this property
We chose this neighborhood for its peaceful, slow pace and stunning natural beauty. The views of the marshlands and Intracoastal Waterway are breathtaking, and we’re just minutes from the beach. The area has newer, updated homes that comfortably accommodate our whole family. It’s less than a two-hour drive from our primary residence, making it a perfect retreat. We love the friendly neighbors and the charm of the sleepy town nearby—with just three stoplights and one grocery store, it’s the kind of quiet escape that’s hard to find.
What makes this property unique
Our home is uniquely situated in a modern, newly built neighborhood with a central pool for relaxing and socializing. Unlike most houses nearby, it has no neighbors directly behind or on one side, offering peaceful, unobstructed views of the beautiful marshlands. Located at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac, the property experiences minimal traffic and noise. Plus, beach access is incredibly convenient—just a 3-minute walk or a 1-minute drive (with a vehicle pass). This combination of privacy, serenity, and proximity to the beach makes our property truly special.
