Summertime at the cabin! Come relax, unwind, and rejuvenate!

Poppy's Cabin at Stoney Creek is a special place where you can relax and rejuvenate. This one-bedroom cabin with a loft is perfect for a getaway. Located at the foot of the Blue Ridge Parkway, you can sit on the large screened in front porch and enjoy your coffee while listening to the creek and enjoying the scenery. The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking. The cozy living room features an electric fireplace, T.V, recliner, and couch. The bedroom is quaint and cozy and adjoins the back deck with a screened in porch. The bedroom also adjoins the bathroom where you can take a shower or enjoy relaxing in the soaker tub with your favorite beverage. The loft features two futons that can be used for additional guests. The loft does have loft steps to get up there so please use caution on them. The cabin also features an outside solo stove, Blackstone grill, and the picnic table is located in the large front yard. Walk across the gravel road and enjoy Stoney Creek as it flows off of the mountain. Wildlife is abundant at the cabin so please use good judgement. I also offer a free laundry service for longer stays. It's private but only 10 miles to the town of Bedford which is worth exploring! Convenient to the Peaks of Otter and not far from Lynchburg or Roanoke. The cabin gets all dressed up for Autumn and Christmas so book early! This cabin is a favorite of ours for getting away and for celebrating special events. This past weekend we celebrated our 20 year anniversary at Poppy’s Cabin. We had a bottle of champagne and a cheese and cracker platter waiting for us. The owner always makes our experience feel so personal. The cabin is magical and just perfect for a couple to get away from their busy lives. It’s always well stocked with everything we need, very clean, and we have never had any complaints. Thank you for sharing your lovely cabin with us.

Fantastic place to stay. Everything was clean and well-built, not cheap like lots of rental places I've stayed in. The owners were extremely nice! They left us muffins and set up the fire pit for us before we got there. I'd absolutely stay here again.

Why they chose this property

Turning off onto Stoney Creek Rd. you instantly feel like you're on vacation. The gravel road, the small bridge, driving by the creek until you turn in the drive. The twinkling lights on the porches and inside as you drive up. Walking into a clean, quiet, relaxing cabin. Breathe the fresh mountain air in while taking in nature's beauty. It's not a neighborhood it's a little slice of peace.

What makes this property unique

The drive to the cabin is gorgeous. Stoney Creek flows off the mountain. The cabin is clean with a beautiful big yard and a peaceful setting. Serene, refreshing, quaint, and comfortable, are a few words to describe it. Private but within 10 miles to town.
