Walk to the beach from 4 bedroom house w/ salt water infinity pool.
Villa Colibri is a private and peaceful oasis. Complete with a saltwater infinity pool and views of the ocean, Colibri offers guests a place to experience all that makes Punta Islita so special. Howler monkeys, coati and macaws are often seen close to the villa. There are 4 bedrooms each with a private bath, and two private outdoor showers. Housekeeping and breakfasts are included in your stay every day but Sunday. The palapa is the perfect place to relax and take in the views. Colibri has both indoor and outdoor living spaces where guests can come together while the thoughtful architecture allows each bedroom to feel entirely private. With walls of sliding doors that open fully, it’s easy to take in the views, sounds and pure ocean air. There is as much or as little as you want to do here in Islita. Wildlife tours, beach outings, the macaw preserve , local restaurants- it’s all there. Or poolside peace is right out the door. Be ready to be at ease. Pura Vida!

Could not recommend more!! Everything was amazing and the host was very accommodating. The house is beautiful and view/pool area is unbeatable. Would be hard to find somewhere that tops this. Also highly recommend using the cook and house keeper. She made great food and was wonderful to have around. We will definitely be back!

I am so glad you and your family enjoyed Colibri and all that is so special about it. You were very thoughtful and generous guests. We would love to have you back !
This rental exceeded our expectations in every way. The home is meticulously cared for. It is larger than I expected. The beds are comfortable. The view is fantastic. The mornings are particularly magical with lots of wildlife. The host thought of so many details to make you comfortable. It feels like you are a guest in someone’s home.I cannot speak highly enough about the woman who makes breakfast and cleans. She is an excellent cook, even for my picky kids, with a charming personality. Be advised that the dirt road to Islita is very bumpy. One of my kids voiced that he hopes the road never changes because it allows the little town to stay quiet and pristine. The remoteness brings a lot of charm. It was hard to leave. I hope we have the privilege to return.

I love your child's reaction to the road and appreciate your mentioning it in your review. We are thrilled that you enjoyed your stay so thoroughly and appreciate your sharing some photos. We hope you and your family come again!
I can't say enough positive about Colibri and Punta Islita. Words and pictures honestly do not do it justice. Leading up to our stay Sarah (host) was extremely helpful in giving us local tips and contacts to help us coordinate excursions, meals, and special celebrations. When we got there the property exceeded expectations on every single front. The decor, cleanliness, location, and view couldn't have been better. We felt completely at home, welcome and comfortable at the villa. The pool is perfect, the beds are nice, the showers are incredible, and the veranda is one of my favorite places on planet earth.Liana, the housekeeper, is truly one of a kind. She has an incredibly warm spirit, smiles big, cooks amazing breakfasts with rotating fresh juice concoctions, keeps the place tidy, and is a gold mine of local knowledge. She is as available as you want her to be while also giving you as much privacy as you need. We will have withdrawals from Costa Rica and (specifically) Islita, but more than anything I think we will miss Liana.Don't skip meals at Mar y Tierra (rough road to get there but so worth it), Aromas, Shaki's (burgers and local fare at very reasonable prices), and Colibri (best meal we had...Argentinian steak house). Eat and drink everything Claudia has to offer in the local cafe in Islita. Use Joe (Liana's brother) as a local fixer who can arrange anything for you, and don't miss a tour of the local Macaw Reserve with Eduardo. This is THE place!
