This was a terrific place to stay. Very comfortable, secluded but right in the center of the S Polo district within easy walking distance of most of the major sites w good restaurants within easy walking distance, a grocery store within a block, the closest vaporetto stop was a 5 minute walk (although a bit difficult to find…not the host’s fault but the way the city is built.). The oniy complaint we had was the entry door to the building which was hard to open. We got accustomed to wrenching it open by the second day. My wife accidentally triggered a power outage and no one told us that one of the keys supplied unlocked the lock on the electric box. But, the owner’s representative was very cooperative in resolving this issue. And in fact very patient. We spent 10 days there and were very satisfied with cleanliness, air conditioning, cooking set up, plate and cookingware eqipment. And we enjoyed a wonderful time in Venice save for being pickpocketed on a vaporetto.
