About the inside of the house: One queen bed, two full beds, a queen futon, a couch, and several chairs available. A kitchen nook available for ‘together’ meals. Bedding, sheets, towels provided. Kitchen fully equipped with cookware, utensils, plates, cups, etc. Appliances include fridge, oven, stove, microwave, and coffeemaker. One full bathroom.
About the outside of the house: you will find a large patio area with a picnic table, a grill,, and other chairs for soaking up the views. A dock with two slips is available for mooring your boat. The house faces east and the sunrises (and moonrises) are breathtaking. Sunsets are equally amazing and can be viewed best by paddling or boating just off shore.
About Pawtuckaway Lake: The lake is 1000 acres, 3 miles long, and 50 feet at its deepest point, with many small islands and quiet coves. Clean water, and some of the best fishing in NH with over a dozen fishing tournaments each year (largemouth, smallmouth, pickerel, black crappie, hornpout, yellow perch, bluegill). Frequent sightings of bald eagles, ducks, geese, and loons. Summer nights often filled with the beautiful wail of the loons. Dozens of trails to explore, including the quite popular moderate “Fire Tower” hike.
About Jampsa Trail: a quiet winding 0.75-mile dirt road with just a few friendly neighbors with occasional sightings of deer and wild turkeys.
Activities: kayaking, fishing, swimming, campfires, boating, water-skiing, sailing, tubing, hiking, mountain biking, rock climbing, bouldering, napping, reading, meditating, antiquing.
About nearby: Just over an hour from Boston’s museums, shopping, dining, and Fenway Park, home of the Boston Red Sox. 5 minutes to Pawtuckaway State Park, great for hiking, mountain biking, and bouldering. 30 minutes to ocean beaches. 1 hour to the White Mountains. 10 minutes to town of Raymond, NH for all necessities, including Tuckaway Tavern, recipient of numerous awards and featured on Phantom Gourmet. 5 minutes to Mountain Road Trading Post for kayak rentals. 20 minutes from New Hampshire’s Antique Alley. 40 minutes to outlet shopping.
Our home is available for long-term rentals, including the entire summer, at discounted rates. Please contact us to discuss.

About the host
Hosted by Troy Brown
Blessed to be a resident of Pawtuckaway Lake, a slice of heaven. Purchased this home in 2017. Made improvements in 2018. Long-time resident of Nottingham, New Hampshire.
Why they chose this property
We love our home on Pawtuckaway Lake, and know others will enjoy staying here too. Being near the water is a kind of deep therapy that is hard to explain and must be experienced. And if you are looking for some additional day-trip adventures, their is much to see and do at the ocean, White Mountains, Kittery Outlet Shopping Malls, and more.
What makes this property unique
The views, especially at sunrise, can be breathtaking. I think we most enjoy the wail of the loons piercing the night air as we sit around a fire relaxing with friends and family. Or, watching the bald eagles glide across the lake to a perch atop a tall pine tree. Nature is full of life and amazing detail, and it is wonderful to slow down long-enough to notice the intricacies.
