Liked: Cleanliness, amenities, property conditions & facilities, communication
The space was so cozy and charming, and the owners were communicative and kind. It was really nice to stay in a historic home with character rather than a bland hotel room. The nights I was there were peacefully quiet and the bed was very comfortable.
A grest location for a nice stay with a private yard for our dogs. Lots of snacks and breakfast items left fof us. I would definitely stsy here again.

In the booklet host asks for feedback so I shared this with him. My stay could have been more restful- more sleep and less fear for my dog would have been really good. I loved the neighborhood and the place was generally nice, but could be great with some tweaks, at least from my point of view. Shower was great, kitchen well equipped. The mattress was great. Liked the vintage stuff, like the chrome dinette and book selection. - Never saw info on wifi. I didn’t end up needing it, but that would be good to feature prominently. - At least for me, it would have been good to know from the listing that you have two dogs and a cat and that the dogs bark loudly, sometimes quite late. You did mention the dogs after I signed up for the rental, but you said the dogs would be in check and you didn’t mention the cat. The dogs didn’t appear to respond to voice commands. I probably would have chosen to stay elsewhere. After our initial meeting and some barking events, my dog was scared to come downstairs. If she had seen the cat, it might have been worse. - It would have made a huge difference to me if the curtains in the bedroom blocked sunlight. This time of year I was not able to sleep past 5:30am because of the light. Admittedly my bedroom at home is quite dark, but I’m sure I’m not the only one. - The heater is mighty, but it’s also mighty loud. Woke me up a few times the first night, so I turned it off at night after that. Not enough characters for full review.

By far the worst and strangest guest we have ever had. Despite clear directions that every other guest has followed with ease,Seth tried to enter the front door of the house and was upset when my cairn terriers did their job and notified me that someone was on the property. My dogs are docile and of course respond to dog commands and began to socialize with Seth’s dog which mad Seth, though not his dog who claimed was terrified by the enormity of my Toto-sized dogs. I pointed out that my dogs were no bigger than his dogs but he retorted “to him they are”. I put my dogs back in the house immediately and showed Seth the side entrance he was directed to use in the instructions. I later received a text complaint later that evening that my dogs were barking and causing his dog anxiety. I did not read the text for an hour or so after he sent it and did not respond because my dogs were quietly with my in the house and I did not want to disturb Seth at that hour.
Seth is not welcome here again and I would warn other hosts that he is a problem. He seems to delight in finding things to complain about and is easily and strategically traumatized. He did no damage to the flat and his dog, who I pity, would be welcome to stay again.
A wonderful large 1 bedroom with attached enclosed Sun porch. There is even an easel with paints for the artist there. There was a nice enclosed yard for our little dog too. Plenty of snacks and food to feel at home or as if you didn’t leave home. Plenty of reading material too. It was quiet with beautiful old homes in the neighborhood.
