Our group had an amazing trip!! Plenty of bedrooms and beds, beautiful lake front (one of the warmest lakes Iโve ever swam in), and plenty to do!! Host was responsive and place was very clean, would definitely stay again!
My friends and I had a great time! Davood was a great host, very responsive and answered all of our questions. The lake views were incredible and the place was very spacious.
We all love this place, its cleliness, availability of all supplies. So, nice view from Cottage. Very nice cottage interior. So much space for outdoor activities and nice dock. Cottage also has so many board games. So overall very nice experience and we all 20 people agreed to visit again.
Bedrooms were clean and spacious, tons of outdoor areas to sit with friends, plenty of firewood, the dock area is perfect. highly recommend this property, would love to rent it again but for longer.
We had a lot of fun at this cottage! Its right on Crystal lake and has a large dock that you can swim and fish off of.We had a large group with us so it was nice to have all the bedrooms (including one large area for kids) and the 2 large areas to eat. We plan to come back again.
Beautiful, peaceful property. Great deck and swimming.

Overall, my group had a good time. Weโve been getting together at various cottages for 4 years and it seems to always be the same experience. House rentals used to be more luxurious with renovations, professional cleaning, linens and amenities. Lately, a lot of places fall very short of that, this one included. The cottage was dated and a little run down. It was โcleanโ in that it wasnโt filthy. Kitchen chairs were broken, cushions were super dirty and stained. Same with the couches. There were tacky stickers on literally everything. Cheap mats that smelled heavily of urine in the bathrooms. I had a reasonably comfortable bed but the rest of my group did not. The sauna did not work. The โamenitiesโ seemed to be a hodgepodge of old movies, games and other crap accumulated over the years. The lake was fine, not weedy. Neighbours were loud and there are like 5 cottages smushed in the little bay. Not controllable, but should be mentioned if youโre looking for a quiet, private getaway. Overall, given the price we werenโt impressed. Itโs priced as the same as some of the more luxurious Muskoka cottages we have been to but doesnโt even come close to the same experience. It also has been for sale for a year so perhaps maintaining the guest experience is no longer a top priority. This is a shame since the guest experience is arguably the entire point of services like Vrbo.

We value our guests and always do our best to create a great experience for them.
During your stay, we did not receive any messages from you about any of the mentioned issues. If they were as problematic as described here, they could have been directly communicated with us during the stay. But now they're all mixed together here as a public review to create an exaggerated and negative image of the cottage.
We have a professional cleaning team that throughly cleans the property before and after each stay. Our reputation and reviews, especially the recent ones, are proof that the property is well maintained and that we have a very high guest satisfaction.
Beautiful cottage with plenty of space. A gorgeous view and access to the lake. Great swimming off the dock and some amazing fishing! The kids loved the playground as well. Absolutely loved our stay!

It was our pleasure to host Melissa and his family at Crystal Palace Cottage. They left the property tidy as can be. Very welcome and looking forward to back them again.
Amazing stay- spacious and dock set up was awesome
We had a great family vacation here. Tons of room to fit everyone comfortably. There are great spaces for dining rain or shine. The place had a swing set/slide which was a wonderful surprise for my 2 year old. The pics of the dock donโt do it justice, itโs a big space and the water was great. Would definitely rent here again.

Crystal Palace Cottage is in a beautiful location, with great lake access, and tons of space.
We visited with 10 adults and 10 kids (ranging from 8 months to 7 years) and there was room for everyone.
While the kitchen is a bit small, the BBQ helps with cooking for large group.
Communication was the owner was easy, and overall everyone had a really nice time.
Cottage was exactly as advertised. Large space, multiple bedrooms, right on the lake with a beautiful dock. We have been doing a friends cottage weekend for 8 years and this was the best cottage experience that we have had. The property manager was incredibly helpful and even left us a bottle of wine as a housewarming present. 5 stars!

Ross and his group were very nice. We would be happy to have them back anytime.
We had a lovely stay at this cottage with a large group of friends including 6 kids. There was more than enough room for all of us and we were all comfortable. The cottage was clean and had all the amenities listed. The dock area was great for swimming and lounging and had enough room for all of us. There were a few maintenance hiccups with the house (dishwasher stopped working and the water pressure was very low and one bedframe was broken) but other than a bit of maintenance on the house, the host was very easy to communicate with and it was a great stay overall. We would come here again!
Family reunion after wedding .
We are 5 siblings with spouses and children. Cottage was excellent. It is spacious, well equipped, with a great layout. Full kitchen, completly connected entertainment room, large bedrooms, and enclosed screened in porch. Sturdy wide steps, down to the large floating dock, enjoy the beautiful sunrise and sunset. Final report, ๐๐

Crystal Lake Palace was a perfect spot for our family to get together. We really appreciated the 8 bedrooms (the loft bedroom is split into 3 spaces for a total of 10 beds) that all had queen or king-sized beds. There was a high chair for our littlest member and ample tables and chairs for us all to sit down to meals together. The livingroom has lots of space to lounge and we never felt crowded. Our stay was in early December and the view down to the lake was beautiful. But we would love to come back to swim and enjoy the deck in the summer, as well. Davood answered all our questions promptly. Even during the unexpected power outage, our host stayed in good communication with us to provide updates until the power was back on.

Family reunion
We recently stayed at crystal palace cottage for a family reunion. The cottage is big and fit us all well. However, there is actually 7 bedrooms, not 9. The top floor is open space with 3 beds and one room in the basement has no windows or vents. The living room couch is dated and uncomfortable but the rest of the furniture was mostly good. Bring extra towels as there were limited number of towels provided. There is a nice dock on the lake. The water was warm and nice to swim in. No lifejackets or boats are included. Note you'll also have to bring your own drinking water and firewood. There is a large sauna, no hot tub.
I only received the check-in details an hr before arrival when I msged Davood. Otherwise he is very quick to respond to any msgs.

Hello Crystal,
Thank you for your review.
There are a few things that we would like to clarify:
1. We do have 9 bedrooms at the cottage, because there are two rooms on the upstairs. Their only difference is that they're connected together, meaning that they are the only rooms that are not separated by a door.
2. The reason we don't provide our guests with life jackets or boats is because of the safety concerns. We kindly ask our guests to bring their own.
3. We have a filtration and UV system for treating tap water at the cottage. However, for added safety and cleanliness, we recommend our guests to not drink from the tap water and instead use the dispenser machine. Additionally, there is a secondary water purification system in the kitchen that allows guests to use filtered and purified water from the small tap on the right side of the sink for tasks such as cooking, washing fruits, and making coffee or tea.
Thank you for choosing our cottage. We hope to host you and your group again in the future.
David is super responsive and helpful. The cottage was perfect for our larger group of adults and kids. The pictures don't do this place justice - would recommend this cottage to other groups!
Swimming was amazing! Finding a property with this many bedrooms and good swimming has always been such a challenge for us. Host was very responsive and we had no issues.
This was easily the best experience we had renting a cottage. David was extremely easy to communicate with and provided everything we needed to enjoy our time away. The cottage was perfectly clean with ample bedding and linens. Washer and dryer if needed and the property was amazing. We had no issues with any of the amenities. There were lots of pots and pans, coffee maker and kettle. Town is super close and neighbors were quiet. The lake is amazing, very deep and serene. We can't wait to go back :)
Amazing cottage - we went here for a Thursday - Sunday getaway with a bunch of friends. The dock was huge and this has been our favorite cottage so far. 4 bedrooms are in the basement, 3 on the main floor and 3 on the top floor. Bedrooms on the top floor are all open and have limited privacy so probably not ideal for couples.
