About this property

One of a kind, super spacious cottage easily accommodates up to 4 families !

Nestled on top of the rock, the cottage provides spectacular views of the Pigeon Lake. Floor to ceiling panoramic windows in both family rooms as well as the two large decks are overlooking the lake and the views are just stunning! First floor master bedroom and one of the second floor bedrooms have separate balconies with lake view as well.

The cottage is located down a private driveway on almost one acre of land, offering loads of privacy among mature trees.

Enjoy deep water swimming, fishing, boating or just relax of the large dock. The water is clean and breathtaking expanse of majestic Pigeon Lake is within a touch of your hand. Please note that our cottage is situated on a rock overlooking the lake and there are numerous stairs to the dock.

And if it’s a little bit (or a lot) chilly outside – warm yourself up in our newly installed, state of the art outdoor Hot Tub and Barrel Sauna. Both are located on the raised platform overlooking the lake. Our premium Panoramic Barrel sauna comes with an acrylic bubble wall facing the serene view of the lake.

The house features a fully equipped kitchen that provides everything you need to prepare amazing meals. Dining area is open concept and is facing the panoramic windows for your dining enjoyment.

The ceilings in the cottage are all vaulted with large cedar beams that further enhance the look and charm of the open concept living areas.

For your outdoor enjoyment and fun on the lake we offer 2 kayaks, paddle boat, canoe, swim ladder at the dock (summer only), fire pit, Muskoka chairs, BBQ and a trampoline.

The cottage is positioned about 100 feet from the lake and has 110 feet of shoreline along with a 6' x 30' aluminum dock that can handle a 22 feet boat comfortably.

Located on Pigeon Lake, our cottage is 2 hours north of Toronto and just a short drive to the town of Buckhorn and just half an hour drive to Peterborough where you'll find all the amenities you need.

If you don't feel like cooking, Buckhorn has plenty of authentic restaurants serving delicious food for all taste and budget. Want to visit another authentic town? Half an hour drive and you are in Bobcaygeon with it’s dazzling downtown, boutiques, cottage home décor stores, restaurants, fudge and ice-cream.

Peaceful winter getaway

There was plenty of room to spread out and relax! The hot tub and sauna were so relaxing for a mid-winter break! Some of the mattresses were a bit firm. But having the space was awesome! Owners were very friendly and responsive. Thanks for sharing your place with us.

Beautiful home, nicely renovated and loads of facilities!

Great place to entertain family and friends - loads of room, facilities and lovely west sunset view. We really enjoyed the dock, campfire, large dining table, hot tub, canoe and pool table (to name only a few of the awesome facilities). Only drawback to be aware of is the 93 stairs from the main floor of the cottage to the dock. There is a railing and spaced out landings so it’s very safe and It’s a good workout! Also there is only 1 fridge - plan your food accordingly.

Nice house with some drawbacks

The house and location are lovely. We enjoyed our week but have a few things that we wish had gone better. Code given to us didn’t work on arrival although this was solved with contact with the owner. Propane tank on BBQ was empty when we arrived but we eventually found a second tank. We were quiet as requested by the owner (noise cameras are on property) but we found the neighbors noisy, with barking dogs and ongoing use of noisy power tools. Some motorized watercraft came overly close to the dock and nearby area where we were swimming. Sewer backed up on our 3rd day and while a plumber was called and fixed the problem we were left to clean up a mess. AC works but is very noisy. One kayak was in good shape but the second one should probably be replaced. Otherwise good location and spacious house.

Family fun on Pigeon Lake

Sophie and Alex have a great property. Plenty of bedrooms and multiple seating areas throughout make it comfortable for a large group. The hot tub and sauna were fun and there is a fantastic large dock with lots of loungers. Quick boat trip to Bobcaygeon and short drive to Buckhorn. Highly recommend!

Spacious Cottage on Pigeon Lake

We stayed for 7 days on this property, we had a great stay. The cottage was clean and the owners were very attentive. They were at the cottage upon our arrival to give us the low down. The hot tub and sauna are amazing and were used every day. It is quite a hike down to the lake (about 80 stairs or so) so be sure to have on proper foot wear or watch your step. Sitting room with balcony upstairs was nice to have at night, and the view of the stars from there was unreal. Great property. Owners only a text away.

Family Get Away!

Had an amazing stay. Alex and Sophie were fantastic host. We had an 1 issue our entire stay. The fridge broke down and they were able to fix it for us in one hour. The location Is beautiful and their is so much to do… we were never bored. It was so relaxing and we created great family memories. Will definitely book again.

The perfect escape

We met Alex upon checkin and he was immediately accommodating. We knew that it was going to be an amazing stay. He was always a message away if we had any questions, but otherwise we were given complete privacy. The house although had dated finishes, was extremely comfortable. The pictures don't do it justice! The hot tub, sauna, and available kayaks and canoes were enough to keep everyone entertained the whole weekend. We would definitely stay here again! Thank you Alex and Sophie :)

Top of Pigeon Lake

This property has a beautiful well designed layout.. we all had plenty of private room own bathroom and there was a washer/dryer . The kids had a blast tubing/water skiing right in front of the beautiful cottage with a Private dock to keep our rented boat from Buckeye Marine in Bobcaygean highly recommended also... A lot of Fantastic memories made Thank you Alex/Sophie for a great experience. Everything was great

Great Bobcaygeon Rental on Pigeon Lake

We had a great stay! House was clean. Lots of room. Location was ideal. We could dock our 19ft boat easily, and it was a 10-12min boat ride into Bobcaygeon. Amazing mid-day to evening sun on the dock. Alex was very attentive to any questions we had. Would definitely recommend this rental property!

Great for a mixed ages group!

Great place with lots of space for groups of families to come. Thankful for the hot tub, the trampoline the pool table and air hockey to entertain family members from kids to adults. We had some little ones with us. So all the stairs and the waterfront were not very toddler-friendly but overall a fantastic stay! Thanks so much to the Ulnik family! :)

Beautiful Cottage & Location and Great Amenities!

My university friends and I rent a cottage every year for our annual meet. We were very happy with our stay at the Ulnik’s cottage. It was a huge property overlooking a beautiful view of the dock overlooking the lake with a private dock. There are 2 kitchens with 3 refrigerators and 2 dishwashers! The kitchen was fully stocked with supplies and cutlery. Wifi worked flawlessly, and we had no issues with hot water in any of 4 washrooms. Bedsheets and linens were plentiful and the on site premium washer and dryer handy. Even though it was cold outside, we enjoyed plenty of sunlight via the floor to ceiling windows. We enjoyed the BBQ grill, hot tub, the trampoline, and taking their kayaks out on the water. Alex was very accommodating with our questions and our requests. We had a great stay, I would highly recommend this place. Some suggestions would be to swap the bigger TV in the basement with the one on the top floor where there was more seating, and some additional seating on the top floor so that all guests can hang out at once comfortably in one area... but other than that we had zero issues with place at all. Cheers to Alex and many thanks for letting us stay.

All the comforts of home with incredible fishing just steps away !

The cottage is fantastic ! Incredible views with all the amenities needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay . The hot tub and sauna are a great treat and the dock is spacious enough for 6 people to sunbathe and fish at the same time . The cottage is very clean and well maintained with everything in good working order . The Ulnik’s are great hosts. The house manual explains everything you need to know about your stay and when needed Alex responded quickly to our questions by text . We also really appreciated not having to replace paper products, washing linens or take the garbage to the dump before we left . We look forward to staying again soon.
