About this property
‘Topl’ In’ Creek-Side Cottage
Weekends or weeks, work retreat or romantic refuge, ‘Topl’ In’ offers new conveniences in a natural setting. The ‘Topl’ In’ is a newly-built family owned Cottage that rests in a deep valley formed by the fresh-water stream called Big Roaring Creek. Its location in Mayberry Township offers visitors quiet seclusion with easy access to cultural amenities. This is a perfect getaway – a place where you can breathe in deep and break out of life’s daily obligations. We built this place to enjoy ourselves and we’re sharing its character and conveniences just enough to help fund its upkeep.
The cottage is conveniently located just five miles from Knoebel’s Amusement Resort in Elysburg, PA, and seven miles from nearby Danville, PA. State Parks, like R.B Winter (Half-Way Dam), Hickory Run and Rickett's Glen are short drives away. Shikellamy State Park and Marina is minutes away so bring your boat! The Bloomsburg Fairgrounds offer events year-round. Several quality gun clubs, including the Valley Gun and Country Club in Elysburg is also nearby. Golf courses are plentiful and the Buckhorn Mall and surrounding shopping area is close. Historical enthusiasts can explore nearby covered bridges, take a tour in an Anthracite coal mine, visit the historic Jim Thorpe or just enjoy the incredible scenic surroundings.
But you need not get in the car again once you’re there! Brings some old sneakers that you can wear in the creek – find a spot to take a dip, cast your fishing line or catch minnows and crayfish with your kids. It’s a great place for biking! You can hike the local wooded hillsides and huddle around the fire-pit as the evening closes into a crisp night. Sleep to the sound of crickets and rushing water.
The gas-fireplace in the center of the Great-room can be just as enjoyable as the fire-pit outside. A fully equipped kitchen adjacent a large dining area and two living-room spaces brings family members together and still provides room to escape. The Cottage is handicapped accessible with an exterior ramp up to the main level and an easily navigable full-bathroom. There are two half-baths. Even if its drizzling outside you can breath the fresh air and do some grilling on the giant patio on the ground level.
The cottage has three bedrooms a full bath with a low-step shower and two half-baths. One of the half-baths is in the laundry/utility room.

We had a wonderful stay. Cottage was perfect for our family. Great place for kids or couples. Very peaceful.. cottage was well supplied with everything we needed. Would definantly stay there again
Great place to stay, the hosts were great. We enjoyed seeing an eagle fly by over the creek a couple times in the morning. Guessing the foliage will look real nice there soon. I would do it again.
Secluded cottage. Might see one car per day. Everything is great WiFi great. Fishing great. 15 minutes to knoebles. Nice yard and fire. Much more if you stay.
Fabulous vacation! Booking was easy and the hostess was the best! Very well maintained properly in an awesome location! I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking to get away for a peaceful vacation!

Thanks! We're glad you enjoyed your stay and hope you return again - it was a delight having you!
We really enjoyed this property. It was quiet and secluded yet quick and easy access to Geisinger Medical Center, where a family member was having surgery. There are a lot of unique things in the area to check out if you have time but the property is great for just spending family time together with plenty of room for everyone.
My family spent 5days, 4 nights at this beautiful place right by the water. My wife and I were spending our 20th dating anniversary at Knoebels and this house was perfect. The kids enjoyed all of the outside activities, especially the tree swing! Even though the weather wasn't the best, we were able to enjoy the outdoor fire pit.At the end of our trip my youngest daughter forgot her dolls at the house. The owner was quick and responsive. We were able to arrange a time to meet and get them back with zero issues. Highly recommend.

Great place to decompress (and have fun).
A great location, very quiet. Great communication with owners. Only minutes from Knoebels and any store needed for supplies. The cottage was fully equipped if we decided to not explore. There were 5 of us in total and room for everyone. Highly recommended.

Simply Beautiful
My family and I stayed at this beautiful cottage in August. The view from the house was amazing. The girls loved the tree swing and the creek. They even chased the frogs:) The fire pit was a perfect place to roast marshmallows and create family memories. It was a perfect place to relax and escape from our busy lives to enjoy each other.

Loved staying at Topol
I brought my family here for a long weekend. What an Amazing! place to stay. The house was perfect. The kitchen had everything you could possibly need. The bonfire at night next to the creek was so peaceful and relaxing. We were just a few short miles from Knoebles which was the main reason for our visit. Our stay was short but we would love to come back so that we can enjoy the house and the grounds. What a beautiful place!
Thank you again for having us.

So Sorry your stay was shortened but we're glad you enjoyed the place nonetheless. Thanks for helping our family afford to keep and maintain it! Hope to see you next year.
Our family of 7 stayed here in search of a relaxing and restful mini vacation. We were amazed at the quiet beauty of the location! The cottage was large enough for our family and well stocked with everything we needed. It was clean upon arrival with fresh flowers and cookies on the counter. We took advantage of exploring the creek, relaxing on the deck and by the pit fire, and enjoying the beautiful fall colors. The owners/managers were friendly, helpful and easy to work with. Our family does a lot of camping and cabin getaway; this location and accommodation was by far our favorite. We will definitely be back!

Thanks SO much Linda It was a pleasure having you - hope to see you again!
Prior to checking in, the owner communicated with me, giving phone numbers to contact both himself and the manager. The manager was very responsive to my requests for simple items. She delivered the items while my family was out at a memorial service for my sister. She even brought items she thought would be helpful for our stay as well. She communicated quickly and was very down to earth. The location, which was peaceful and serene, was easy to find using GPS and was located by the creek as advertised. It had all the amenities as stated. There was a large amount of sitting areas both inside and out: picnic table on the top deck and in the space below the deck, three wooden porch swings outdoors, a large table inside that can seat 10, as well as a countertop area that can seat 4 more. The AC was especially rewarding on the days with high humidity. It is very close to Knoebels Amusement Park and Rolling Hills Deer Farm, two locations I recommend you visit.Being able to walk the trail through the woods provided a calm atmosphere and sitting to listen to the water flowing in the creek as well as being able to cast a fishing line into the water was rewarding too. There were absolutely no complaints from the children, especially the teenagers, about the location and the freedom to choose activities while the adults relaxed. Relaxing by the firepit at night just added to the serenity of the location. We will definitely stay again when I return back to my hometown. Thanks!
Had a great time with some family. Beautiful views. Great drives, walks, and bonfires. Would absolutely do again. Thank you for the opportunity.

Three siblings share this great piece of property. Two live locally.
Why they chose this property
Our parents bought our cottage early on in their marriage and our father, single-handedly constructed the building that was ruined in the 2011 flood. Our father is gone now too but the memories we made and still make there will always be with us.
