Unwind in the bubbling hot tub, gather around the cozy fire pit while the kids roast marshmallows, or relax on the beautiful front deck with stunning forest views. Sip coffee on the screened-in back porch, away from any bugs, or challenge your crew to cornhole, horseshoes, or a pile of board games inside. Grill up a feast at the outdoor grilling station, and don't miss renting our barn for extra space or events! Ample parking's is available, so pack everyone and head to our hidden paradise!

The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:
Load and start the dishwasher
Strip any used beds and gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
Most important is to start the dishwasher and to clean up any trash. ALL TRASH must go into a bag before going to the dumpster. Unfortunately, the trash company will not take it if it is not bagged.
Strip all beds and used pillows and leave bedding on floor next to its bed. Gather all used towels and leave them IN the shower on the main floor. Turn off all lights and TV. Turn off the fire place.
Tell Alexa, "I'm leaving", lock all windows, lock front and back door, and douse any live coals at fire pit with water from the hose. Take lots of pictures and post them to social media! Drive safe!
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Zero tolerance for indoor smoking or pets. We ask that these two rules are strictly followed.

We are a family owned vacation rental. Our hope is to become the Patoka Lake region's #1 place for family's and gatherings to get-away. Vacation rental homes are no doubt expensive to rent, and our mission is to provide a property of high quality that will return great value to your time and money invested staying with us. We hope it is such a value that you will automatically want to come back to Hidden Acorn Cabin the next time you come to the area!

About us: We are Drew and Krissy. Drew grew up in west Texas where he fell in love with aviation. He became an Air Force pilot and flew almost 300 combat sorties overseas. After the Air Force, he has continued his aviation career. Krissy grew up in northern Michigan. After college, her career in finance took her to San Antonio to work for a large bank. This is where we met and now have a wonderful family with 2 young boys. We are all about the Lake Life and love this property for its proximity to beautiful Patoka Lake. This cabin is quickly becoming our passion and we are proud to offer it to the Patoka Lake area for visitors to create memories and fun-filled weekends!

Why they chose this property

Pure and simple, we chose this home to be as close as possible to Patoka Lake. We are also very excited about the short drive it offers to Paoli Peaks skiing, French Lick, Holiday World, several local golf courses, vineyards, Marengo Caves, and more!

What makes this property unique

Our property is specifically oriented to serve a multi-family or medium to large gathering situation. We sleep 16 very comfortably, and have plenty of land for large parties to spread out while socializing. From the fire pit, to the front deck and the screened in back porch, to the outdoor grilling area, and the horseshoe/corn hole pits... There are countless ways to enjoy each other's company around the property! We have tried to think of everything and are continuously adding to ensure you find great value in your stay with us.
