Absolutely adored our stay! The cabin was cozy and had everything we could need and the hot tub was a huge plus after a long day of snowboarding. Would definitely come back!
The hot tub was amazing. The whole place was well furnished and well heated, and there were many amenities set out for us when we arrived, like candles, food, coffee, games, towels and sheets. I wish we had stayed longer. The place was just a pleasure to be at and I would give it 10 stars out of five if I could.
Was beautiful . Everything about this place awesome. Wish I could have stayed longer. Will be back.

The place had alot of spider webs. The bathroom needed to be clean. The stairs was so thin. I thought it was a ladder. Didnt sleep in room because i didnt feel safe going up and down the stairs.

Hi, We are sorry you didn’t enjoy your stay. We clean and sanitize the cabin in between uses thoroughly. However, it is rustic and sometimes old wood doesn’t look as shiny as newer materials. As to the stairs, we mention in the listing that they are steep and to use your best judgment on whether they will be a problem for you.
we try to give an accurate description and do our best to exceed expectations. It is a cabin and will always have rustic qualities that we make cozy for guests looking for that experience.
As to the spider web issue, we went out to the cabin this morning to look and didn’t see any. A cobweb behind a pipe was all we found. Regardless, we will do a better job on that score. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to improve. We do our best and I hope next time you find something more to your liking. Thank you for your candidness and we will use your feedback to improve.
We showed up during a suuuper cold snow storm. Sadly the water pipes froze and we had no running water. The host was super kind and welcoming. She had a plumber out within a half hour. Sadly The plumber could not fix it. it was the underground pipes that froze. The bed upstairs is suuper firm but the pullout downstairs is pretty good.
Hi! I'm a native New Englander and we recently moved back to this beautiful part of Vermont. We have provided many brochures of things to do in the area, and we're also happy to give you any other information you may need. We are both experienced hospitality industry people who also love the outdoors, music and travel. Our home is solar powered and we don't use chemicals on our property, which is full of beautiful flora during the spring and summer, and the autumn foliage here is outstanding! Psst: we also know where the best "secret" places to see great autumn colors are! Happy to be hosting this lovely cabin and we hope you love it too.
Why they chose this property
We love this neighborhood because it's cozy, pretty, has incredible mountain views and is close to many things: great restaurants, skiing, hiking, history and more.
Here's a great article about some unique things to do in the Rutland area:
The cabin is behind our house, which we call Shannon's Farm. We have a shared, large driveway with plenty of room. The house is on an acre on a small hill. You should feel free to enjoy the grounds, take advantage of the basketball court, or the hot tub after a busy day. Don't let our proximity concern you - we will not bother you, but we're more than happy to answer any questions or help however we can to make your stay ideal.
