Daylesford getaway

This was a fantastic property and stay, really cosy and well appointed. We appreciated the pantry staples and my wife loved the reading nook in front of the gas log fire that really kept us warm whilst it was 6 degrees outside. Would recommend for couples or family.

Easter weekend stay

Lovely house in a great location. Has all the amenities you would want, just needs a larger couch given the number of people it sleeps! Not enough room for us all to sit comfortably and watch movies !

Excellent property location and the property was clean and had all the amenities as advertised. 2 minutes from Daylesford Central and 1 minute from the Daylesford Sunday market. Property easily accommodated the 7 guests. Would highly recommend if you are looking at holidaying in Daylesford.

My wife and I had an amazing two nights in this beautiful home. Weve stayed in some nice property’s over the years but Dellla Fonte would be my favourite. So clean and well presented. The decking and the view around the property was excellent. Great location. We’ll be back.

Perfect base for a Daylesford long weekend

Della Fonte recently hosted our two families for a long weekend break from the routine. The gas fire and wine ready for our arrival were a lovely touch and the house was just as it had been described in its listing. The location of the property allowed us to explore Wombat Hill, the Convent and the Daylesford market by foot and the lake and main street were only a short drive away. We enjoyed a great meal at the Farmer's Arms just up the road. We'd definitely stay again!

Very bright holiday home

Very nice clean, clear and bright holiday house. We had two hot days followed by a few cold days and the house is great for both. The Gas fireplace is great. Bit far to walk to downtown but doable. If I would travel to Daylesford another time I would stay there again and my children, too. It's not a rural bush retreat but still very private and spacious with nice forest views.

Quick and quiet getaway with family

Della Fonte is beautifully appointed, lovely views to the rear and right side of the property and has plenty of comfortable beds to choose from. Would comfortably fit 2 couples and 4 children with one those sleeping in the mezzanine area upstairs. The bottle of white wine left in the fridge was a nice touch, particularly appreciated as the getaway was a belated 40th celebration. A car is required to get to most places, The Farmers Arms is the closest place for meals but would advise booking ahead, especially on a Mon/Tue/Wed night as not many other places are open in town. Enjoyed the spa bath upstairs. The gas operated 'logfire' works a treat in the cold. Property managers were quick on the scene when maintenance was required. Would love to stay again.

Excellent accommodation, even better than advertised.

We walked in the door to a complimentary bottle of wine, which was a lovely touch. We were five adults and had plenty room, in much comfort, first night it was cold outside but heating was excellent inside. House is close to town and all amenities. We are definitely planning a return visit.

Idyllic stay!

We spent a wonderful weekend exploring Daylesford and surrounds while using this place as a base. We spent as much time here as we could because it was such a wonderful place. Had everything we required for a girls weekend away! Would stay here again.

Gorgeous property. Quite a hilly walk into town but perfect if you’re lying low with your family. Magnificent gardens. On two levels. Shower pressure...awesome!

Place was quite clean, bright,neat. Great hot water.

As per above the property and house were neat and tidy and warm. However really disappointed, after sending an email to the manager on our departure that there was no reply (12 days ago). The TV in the loungeroom was constantly pixelating (had to play with the jack at back of tv a hideous amount of times) which was extremely frustrating. The washing machine with its door handle broken and taped up was not able to be used. (With an extra large family this was a necessity). There was a steady flow of ants above the bench in the kitchen and also near the window in the meals area. There was a blown lamp in ground floor toilet. Can appreciate that a lamp can go anytime so don't want to sound like a whinger. Didn't want address these issues at the time as it was a long weekend and wouldn't think any of the issues would be addressed there and then. I would have thought the manager would have contacted me by now. Just being honest.
