The host was most helpful and responded very promptly to any questions or issues raised. The Burrow was very well appointed and comfortable. Overall it is a great place to stay and I have no hesitation in highly recommending it to other travelers.

Great experience.

We had brief but a great stay at The Burrow. The house was spacious, well equipped with all the necessities and nicely decorated. The best part was the location right next to the river and so close to Waratah waterfalls. Would definitely recommend and love to stay there again.

Perfect base for exploring the North West

The burrow is a very comfy space for 4 adults or family with children. The kitchen is well equipped, and laundry facilities provided. It is in a great location and only a short drive to many beautiful national parks and reserves. Waratah is a lovely small town as well.

The Burrow is a beautifully appointed 2 x bedroom cottage in Waratah which is close to the local lake and waterfall in town. Cradle Mountain and nearby waterfall walks are not far away. The cottage is very comfortable with electric blankets and air con for efficient heating in winter. The kitchen has everything for a comfortable stay including tea, coffee and basic supplies available - this was very handy. Communication with host was super easy with lots of info about the local area given. Check-in very straightforward. Would highly recommend.

The Burrow was clean, quiet & had everything we needed. Washing machine was very handy. The only additional thing that would have been appreciated is a small amount of milk for a cuppa. The Burrow was the only property we stayed at that didn’t have that available.

Property is small but very good for a family stay. It was neat and comfortable. Location was beautiful. We have not received the Security code for the unlock key, we had to call Landlord and she is very responsive. There was a power outage in the morning before we were leaving, and we couldn't operate Kitecthen Electricals and no light in the bath and house, not sure if that was planned outage in the location. Overall, our stay was memorable in the unit.

Welcome Stuff

We were very appreciative that the Manager had put the heaters on for us so that we didn't enter a brrr, cold house. Very thoughtful. Everything was great! The only suggestion I would make would be to have a small "Welcome" pack containing a small milk, maybe some biscuilts, the sort of thing that would be of benefit for those people who arrive after the shops have closed. Overall, we were very happy with the accomodation & Waratah itself. Would definately stay again, if we come to Tasmania again.

Good for the price and easy access to the waterfall. There are some oddities in my mind, but they do have signs explaining that it's their holiday home so to be understanding. That is one of the oddities in my mind. The stovetop just doesn't get hot in a hurry, so turn it on before you arrive if you want to boil pasta and eat before midnight. The fireplace has a sign explaining that others have broken it so now it can't be used. The 'replacement' heater looks hot and does an ok job of the living room. The shower/bath has hot water and good pressure but if you should want to use the provided soap or shampoo you need to take a stroll to the other end of the bath in the cold so make sure you're not too aromatic. The heat pumps do a fine enough job of heating the house. Anyway, it's an affordable option in a nice area, and so if that's what you're looking for it's a choice.

A wood fire heater in the front room was broken because previous visitors had overfilled it, but it could easily be replaced with a gas heater. The small heater provided instead did not work. Cupboard handles were coming off kitchen cabinets, and the water spout in the sink kept tipping over, the only pair of plastic tongs was melted and were not used. The furniture in lounge room was small old and uncomfortable, the carpets throughout were also worn, old, the pillows on the bed were all different and not comfortable. I'd say the house needs a lot of maintenance and equipment and the furniture upgraded

Cosy and dry in the burrow

Thanks for everything- worked well for us! Just to mention the dripping tap in the bath. Will make sure we stay at the burrow when next we have to work nearby.
