About this property
Little Roosevelt Lodge-Cozy Cabin on a Small Lake in Gatlinburg!
Welcome to Little Roosevelt Lodge! We are so proud of this cabin and all it offers for our guests. You can choose how to use this space—play games or stream a movie in the loft, engage in conversation in our cozy, mid century modern living room, unwind in the hot tub on the back porch or even enjoy the serene, manmade lake in the back yard.
How our cabin is laid out:
There is a bedroom downstairs with its own bathroom. It has a king sized bed and smart TV. We use bamboo sheets (the softest!) and have plenty of extra blankets and pillows for your comfort.
There is a loft upstairs that has two very comfortable queen-sized sleeper sofas. The other full bathroom is upstairs in the loft. Each sleeping area has its own bathroom and both bathrooms are stocked with plenty of 100% cotton towels. There are several pillows and blankets available upstairs and the sofa sleepers are made up with 100% cotton sheets.
There is a small roller hide-a-bed available (twin sized) in the master closet. It includes all linens and a pillow—everything you’ll need to be comfortable. If you let us know you’ll need it, we will have it made so all you need to do is roll it out and unfold it.
We have a fully stocked kitchen with everything you need in an open floorpan with the living room (and 55 inch TV) and dining area that can seat up to six. It is a very cozy cabin!
Outside we have a lovely back porch that overlooks the woods and a small manmade lake. We also have a gazebo area with comfy chairs and a propane fire pit. Go down the outdoor stairs and follow the trail (but be careful—it is a little steep) to a sitting area that overlooks the lake. If you have a fishing license, feel free to bring your tackle box and fishing pole and fish on the lake.
In the loft, play pool and arcade games or watch a movie on the 55-inch smart TV. We also have several board games that you are welcome to enjoy—mostly National Parks themed!
What makes us different:
We stock paper products such as paper towels and toilet paper.
We include shampoo, conditioner, body wash and lotion in clean dispensers in both bathrooms.
We have cable on all TV’s with ESPN so you won’t miss a big game (you are welcome to log in to your streaming services on our smart TV’s!)
We offer a reduced cleaning fee and do not require a lot of prep prior to checkout.
We pride ourselves on our cleanliness—we want this to be a place we would want to stay and we are very picky about being clean!!
About our location:
We chose our cabin because we LOVE the location. The cabin is in a neighborhood, but it is relatively spread out and we have over 1/2 acre that backs up to a small, manmade lake. We have our own driveway and enough parking for multiple vehicles. We are close to many different attractions. We are located in Gatlinburg, very close to the Arts and Crafts district. “The strip” with entertainment, great restaurants, Ripley’s aquarium and shopping is only 15 minutes away. Dollywood is 20 minutes away and Great Smoky Mountain National Park is as close as 18 minutes away (the park is huge so some parts are close and some are farther away)
About your hosts:
My name is Miranda and my husband is Daniel we’re your hosts! We love visiting the National Parks and have been going down the list visiting them—our goal is to visit them all! Great Smoky Mountains National Park is one of our favorites and what we consider our “home park” since we live close by in Knoxville. As you look around the cabin, notice the photos—most of them are from our travels to the parks over the years. This is our family’s personal cabin and we want you to be comfortable as our guests here so we have done our best to make it a place we want to stay (and we do stay frequently, so we are always in tune with the cabin’s condition and cleanliness).
Our rules/suggestions:
No pets
Check in is at 4PM and check out is at 10AM
Prior to check-in we will send a google form for you to fill out—it helps us to better prepare for your stay!
Please reach out to us directly with any questions or concerns—we are happy to help!
Please be respectful of bears—they are just waiting for you to set your trash on the porch so they can tear it up (ask us how we know….)!! Please use the available bear trash cans and don’t ever leave any food outside unattended.
Please understand that while our cabin is very clean this is the woods and there are bugs!! Spiders, ants, mosquitos etc. We do use a pest control service but being in the woods—there will always be bugs! We recommend bug spray when you are outside in the warmer months.
Please enjoy the lake at your own risk—you are welcome to fish, but there are no lifeguards and the lake is really not maintained for swimming. If you choose to fish, please bring your own fishing gear (there is none at the cabin) and make sure you have a fishing license because this is not a private lake.
Please be careful when using any outdoor areas—there could be poison ivy, steep areas, slippery rocks, etc.
