Absolutely loved our stay. The house is just minutes from Mount Snow, which made everything so easy. The amenities really stood out especially the pool and the outdoor hot tub, the whole place felt spacious and relaxing. Would definitely recommend.

We held a family reunion at the Brown House. It was an absolutely amazing week. The house has so much to offer, the indoor pool and hot tub were a gathering spot for the kids. With each bedroom having its own private bathroom, it was like each family had their own private hotel room. The kitchen was big and well stocked with all the cooking gear you would ever need. The property manager, Tony was so responsive and friendly for any question or need he was always right there. The location is great, quiet but close to Mount Snow and Wilmington center. I highly recommend the Brown House and next reunion we’ll surely be back!!!

We had a large crew and this house had plenty of room for all. Large table and lots of room to hang out. The location to the mountain is great- so close! You can walk through the snow to a restaurant. Unfortunately, the new pool was not ready yet, but it looks like it will be gorgeous and we would come back again.

Great Time in Dover
The property was fantastic! We we’re upgraded from the Brown house to the Blue house and had a great time enjoying all of the amenities! We were there for a college reunion, and we Had a great time playing paintball at Adams Farm nearby, cooking in the kitchen and industrial sized grill and swimming in the pool. The house was great and more than we could ask for. The pool was clean, the kitchen had everything you could need and there was plenty of room for everyone. The owner Jack was pleasant to work with and very accommodating. The location of the house was also very convenient. The last chair is within eyesight of the house and is a pretty good spot for food and drinks. Overall it was a great experience everyone was happy.

Great Location, great amenities, perfect size for a great family getaway
Jack was a delight to work with. He communicates very well and gave us all of the information we needed to know ahead of time. The house was fantastic. We had 10 adults and 10 kids ages 3-8. The amenities on the house were great, it was close to the mountain, and the house is in great condition. The adults were able to enjoy themselves in the evening without disturbing the kids which was a huge plus. We will definitely rent this house again.

Only one refrigerator for that many people was not enough.

We actually usually provide soaps, we do view it as an extra, not as a necessity. Although some people use hotel soaps (or take them home as a souvenir), an extremely minute portion of population actually rely on them, very the moreso at private home short term rentals.
Regarding signage and garbage, we have outstanding onsite personnel who deal with these issues. We've never had such a complaint in the past.
Regarding pool, it's a brand new pool with most updated systems and treatment. Sorry about rashes but it's doubtful its from the pool treatment.
All in all, if these were your issues and all the real items were good - cleanliness, amenities etc - that's a 4.9 start review. That's excellent!

Great older large home. Not the home it’s represented as though. Tennis court is more of a lawn that you can’t use , no hot water, late check in due to sewage leak, can’t play shuffle board as it’s completely broken, some of the furniture pictured doesnt exist. Cleaning people were awesome, but owner is clearly an immoral con artist. This house is like buying a large wynnebego with all the features and then you receive an old schoolbus with no seats that’s doesn’t run

Sorry to hear that you didn't enjoy your stay and that your expectations weren't met.
As we're open to constructive criticism, please be open to legitimate responses. Any guest house with guests coming and going is prone to certain damages - totally independently of owner and manager. The day you arrived a group had left and we learned that they clogged the sewer system by flushing non flushable waste down the toilets. We immediately ordered a professional company to unclog system. Obviously, this caused a delay in preparing house for your group. This can happen in the Hilton too. It's not in anyone's hands to eliminate such scenarios. It is in our hands to deal with it in a timely and professional fashion - which is what we did. While the sewer was clogged the hot water system couldn't work. As soon as sewer system got back to working order, the hot water was back up too. To imply in your message that there "was no hot water" may be a dishonesty on your part (did someone mention morality?) Neither did you find it important to mention that for the 3 hour delay, we put you into another house where you were able to put down your luggage and get your bearings while house was made ready.
As far as tennis court and shuffle game in concerned, we recently took over management of these houses which were severely neglected over past two years. We've spent enormous amounts of resources to improve them on many levels and they've come a very long way. Ideally, we should've kept them vacant for few months while work was being done. Out of decency and consideration of bookings that had been made long in advance, we made the effort and chose the hard way of doing work in between coming and going of guests. This is a tremendous undertaking and made things very much more difficult and complicated. Obviously this comes with hitches. To date, some improvements have not yet been done but we are past the bulk of things. We're sorry and apologetic to those who feel they didn't receive the product they expected. The majority of our guests were very satisfied and understanding.
Like you mentioned we have a phenomenal staff of housekeepers and maintenance personnel who are extremely devoted to making guests happy. This is the key to success.
We booked the house weeks in advance, recieved a reservation confirmation with VRBO, but the owner would not give check in info. Tried one week out, one day before our stay and the day of. Nothing....had to call VRBO customer service, was told owner had a stroke at first, then was told it was double booked with a diff site. We had our bags packed and no where to stay. This should have never happened!! The owners had weeks to notified us of the booking mistake when we first booked. We were also disconnected twice while on hold with customer service. Spent over 2 hours on the phone the day of our stay to find out that we could not stay.
Don't know the truth about this booking mistake, hope the owner is ok but will never go this route again!

Very dirty!!
This house was very dirty!! Lots of space and a bathroom in every room which was great but the mice were everywhere! Dead & alive. We found dead mice in the cabinets in the kitchen as well as live mice running across the floor. We bought food to cook since we can’t go out to eat because of COVID. We were not able to cook it because of how dirty the house was. A mouse chewed one of my friends towels. The owner claimed the house cleaners vacuum was broken at the time. VRBO refuses to do anything because we stayed the weekend and didn’t leave. We drove 4 hours away and not much around with 20 people so we didn’t have a choice but to stay. Mold was everywhere! Don’t recommend staying here especially if you have children.

Our group managed to enjoy each others company, but we would not book this place again
The house is HUGE and has enough room for 22 people. But here are some of the issues:
The kitchen was NOT clean, there were rat droppings at multiple places in the kitchen.
The owner said she cleaned the place herself, but the place is too large for a single person to clean effectively.
The microwave had a large visible crack in the glass door.
The fridge was functional.
The owner could not figure out why the dishwasher wasn't working.
The owner doesn't really communicate with VRBO so didn't really know anything about our reservation.
She was our key contact & she was not able to resolve most of our issues promptly.
I got the feeling that the owner was trying her best, but she should not have rented this place in the current condition.

Overall…. It’s a good ski house for a lot of people. Everyone gets their own bathroom which was a plus… but you can’t all
Shower at once… the hot water goes quick! The sitting area(s) had plenty of space, and enough towels for each bathroom and extras in the pool area. Just make sure you bring your own toiletries (which I do anyway). and you won’t have to worry about there not being shampoo and/or conditioner. Some bathrooms have it… some don’t. (I always pack as if it’s not there). I would also note, Leave the bathroom heaters on high heat as they seem to be the heat source for the bedrooms.
There were a few disappointing things… We had a group of 16 made up of half adults and half kids (13-17). The kids were excited about the game room, but ended up spending NO time in it because it was freezing and the only space heater in the room didn’t seem to work.
The pool was good… over chlorinated (as expected)… but the kids had fun. We did have to have them shower immediately after to rinse off the chlorine, and ran out to 7/11 to get Visine as all of their eyes were Red/Burning… use the provided goggles! Quite a few enjoyed the hot tub and sauna. It should be noted that the outdoor hot tub was NOT accessible. (Due to NO snow removal)
As for the outdoor grills… they were also inaccessible due to NO snow removal… as well as front door which left only one entrance. Not ideal for 16 people unpacking.
All in all.. we’d probably go back.

Needs help
We had several issues with this house.
1. There is no welcome book to explain how anything works …..nothing
2. House was not very clean…we found an old half eaten blueberry muffin under the sink in one bathroom …2 rotted limes in the kitchen….a spare pillow had blood on it .
3. There were no spare blankets in the entire house. We called housekeeping and they did bring them the next day. We found several spare pillows, but no pillowcases. It took several of us along time to even locate the towels. Everybody got only one towel. Some towels were in a dresser, somewhere in a closet somewhere in the dresser drawers under the bed. It was like a scavenger hunt to find your towels.
3. They were missing off the front of the stove, exposing all of the wires.
4. we had the maintenance people there to help us with the hot tub and did we get to use the indoor hot tub because we couldn’t get over 80°
5. The landscaping is a mess there’s grass growing all over the tennis court. The flowerbeds are just beds of weeds and rock no flowers in them.
I traveled with a church group of 15 women. We were all very disappointed in the home …. We had a good time because we were together, but we would never book this house again.
Ryan maintenance guy was extremely helpful. He came over and helped us set up wood for the fire pit. He was fabulous.
This needs a lot of help ….. it is and there are a lot of bedrooms and every bedroom has a bathroom so that was definitely a plus

House is not in great condition.
The check-in process wasn't easy. The property manager doesn't check VRBO so none of my messages were answered. No information on check-in was provided. I had to contact VRBO customer support to get the property manager's phone number so I could contact her. She didn't seem happy that I called her. Also, if I hadn’t called her – I wouldn’t had known that we needed to provide our own bedsheets, towels, and linens…
Upon checking in on Friday, we discovered that were tons of trash bags left outside the front door from previous guests- like over 20 bags of trash and boxes and boxes of pizza and budlight. Animals had gotten into them, and there were food and trash everywhere.
She had asked my friends to help clean up the mess with their bare hands... and asked to use our trash bags that we brought up ourselves. So we didn't have enough, and she only supplied us with one more trash bag for the weekend (we were a group of 15!)
I had informed her via VRBO about having a pet, but since she never checked it – she was surprised we had a dog with us. She required us to pay the pet fee and wouldn’t leave until we handed it over.
The house was the perfect size, with a bathroom for each bedroom - and the common areas were great to gather as a group. But the couches were dirty and worn out. One of the chairs at the dining table was broken and had a dangerously sharp piece of wood hanging off. You could tell the kitchen and bathrooms weren’t cleaned very well, and we were glad that we thought to bring Clorox wipes. Many of the bathrooms didn’t have hand soap. The dishwasher didn’t work.
Indoor pool was great to have, but there was black mold everywhere downstairs from the humidity. Some of the rooms had broken heating. The quilts and blankets don’t get washed between guests… owner had asked us to make the beds before we left.
On Saturday, she surprised everyone when she suddenly stopped by to finish cleaning up after the last group as we were having lunch. She felt it was necessary to walk through the house and into each of the bedrooms on the main floor without informing us. Then she told she'd unfortunately have to charge us extra for electricity if we kept the lights on.
Property owner seemed to be trying to do her best, but this place should either have a professional cleaning service between each stay (especially during a pandemic) or not have been rented out if it isn’t maintained well.

The property is now under new management, and all previous issues have been fully resolved.
This house is huge, with plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms to accommodate a large group of 15+. It's also a very short drive to the base of Mt. Snow, so for a big ski weekend it checks every box.
As the owners acknowledge, the house does need renovations, which you can tell are underway. The house is in better shape than the pictures, but with the updates this place will be everything you need for a big ski trip.
Overall ~ a great weekend. Very cold @ (-25*F) but well worth it. Location was awesome - just 5 min to Mount Snow!
Online description ~ vague at best. Floor plans weren’t accurate for room assignments as required by family size. Kitchen lacking the essentials & not enough for all 21 of us. Glad we bought disposable hot & cold cups.
Light switches & outlets ~ Never saw so many that do nothing or not what you’d expect by proximity. No info. provided (instructions for hot tub, sauna, location of firewood, extra blankets) ~ the house became a scavenger hunt.
The property Managment team were awesome! They Responded promptly, regardless of the time & arrived on site quickly when needed.
We are planning to return next year.
A huge building that was PERFECT for a family gathering. It had nine bedrooms and 10 bathrooms. Every bedroom had it's own bathroom. We were there for our family Christmas. The young kids loved the built-in pool and the adults loved the sauna and jacuzzi. The owner took ill just before we arrived, but his friends and staff were there to meet us and stopped by every day to make sure our stay was perfect...and it was. Great kitchen to cook and plenty of space throughout for everyone. They even set up a Christmas Tree for us. Some of our group went tubing others skiied. Just taking a walk was beautiful. All couldn't have been more perfect. Thank you Rick and Shelby!
Great place to gather with a huge dining table, indoor pool and fun game room. Very dated features that need updating. Great that each room has a bathroom. Too many small, uncomfortable beds and mold throughout house. Jack was very nice and accommodating. Great house other than a few things that need work.

Lauren and her family were very nice, coming in @ various times from scattered east coast locations late afternoon & late evening.. Since I require at least 4 adults when I demonstrate the pool /spa ops. & chemical use --I delayed my check in & everything became a little hectic the demo.was rushed & I forgot to ask
Lauren for list of items that might need attention when they were leaving.
Check out was a little rushed -a quick walk through confirmed a good house although they were still in kitchen clean up.
I thanked her for the rental & asked her if they had any issues - she said everything was OK -& I left.
I was surprised by 3 items in her review & left several voice mails to get details so I could zero in & relay the correction work to our cleaning crew. We never made contact
(1) "dated features "
Suspect it might be the big comfortable couch in great room. -will clean it
(2) "Small uncomfortable beds"
we have firm feel standard size mattresses sitting directly on wood slats covering a 3 drawer wood cabinet for xtra blankets.
(3) "Mold through out the house"
Suspect it might be mold bleed through on some of the shower caulk.
We will be addressing these items during the fall/winter shut down.
