Absolutely perfect! The view of the lake and mountains was spectacular, the drive in kept taking our breath away and the cozy cabin with the porch and rocking chairs added to the charm of the whole trip. This cabin is in the perfect place to be in nature, quiet and peaceful and yet close enough to the tourist areas for visits and meals. Can't thank the host enough for an early check-in, easy checkout and all the wonderful amenities! Will DEFINITELY be on the lookout for this place for my next stay in Eastern TN!
Overall, the cabin was clean, and we had no issues checking in. I would recommend bringing or renting a boat. The cabin was family-friendly, and the sunset views were worth the price of the rental and then some!
We had such a very relaxing time, it was so nice to sit on the porch and the dock was so nice, done some fishing and just letting our feet in the water was so nice
We had a wonderful time and really enjoyed our stay. The cabin was very tidy and clean upon arrival and we had everything we needed. Super happy with this vacation
Stained towels in master bath & burn stain on floor4 burn marks on carpet in front of fireplace. No hair dryer provided. Carpet needs stretching and seams redone in several areas. No cookie sheet or baking pans, aluminum foil, baggies or Saran Wrap provided. No fire starter sticks for fireplace. No sunsets as advertised visible from porch
Lake was great for swimming and floating. Disappointed there was no fire pit as shown in the listing. House keeping could do a better job of cleaning. Lots of dust on some of the furniture and under the beds. Checkout time listed on Vrbo was different than host checkout time, but host accommodated. Overall good experience.
The cabin is a nice location although there are lots of steps, it is an easy access to the lake. We stayed here previously in 2019, I don't remember seeing so many cobwebs on the porch and the table seemed cleaner but it is in the woods so some cobwebs to be expected. The inside was clean and all amenities that you would need. We did bring a fan for the porch which helped with the heat. My husband wanted to point out there is a nest of carpenter bees on the front as you first enter the porch that needs to be looked at before it gets any worse. Had no problem with entry into the cabin, Jena responded to all my questions/concerns. We had a wonderful time and look forward to reserving this cabin in the future!
Had a great stay, the only thing I would like people to know before booking is that Douglas Lake does lower the water level every winter, unfortunately it has not been refilled when we stayed in April 25 so the dock shown in the pics were roped off and not useable. Wish we knew that when booking as we were picking cabins with a dock access on site
We really enjoy this cabin so much. Its away from all of the craziness and we especially love the wood burning fireplace. Just a sweet place to get away from things for a few days.
Our stay was relaxing. This was the perfect place to get away from the real world and connect with each other. The rocking chairs overlooking the lake gave a perfect place to share time. No noise and distractions. The Hide Away we all needed.
Not West Virginia (where my wife is from) but beautuful scenery, cabin, view from the deck, and weather. We had a great time. Isolated at the cabin but a short drive to shopping and tourist activities. Highly recomend
This was my second time at this property, again we enjoyed our time in this awesome place. Love waking up and drinking coffee on deck over looking Douglas Lake. This place is worth the stay, not to far from everything. A 5 ⭐ stay.
This is the second time we have stayed here. Waking up with the water view is wonderful, so relaxing. Very quiet neighborhood and was perfect for our 35th wedding anniversary. Just a short drive to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg.
