Good location though the house is terrible. We had a long stay while our house was being renovated. The house is filthy, 3/4 kitchen cupboards are locked, sheets are lazy hotel sheets in between a Duna which is really annoying when you have three kids, the surrounding pool bricks are all loose and broken and is dangerous when kids stand at the edge of pool, massive spiders and cockroaches, terrible towels provided, layout of backyard isn’t properly shown and isn’t suitable for really small children. Overall well over priced and so dirty

Horrible, Horrible Person! NOT WELCOME BACK Having standards is good but having double standards is not twice as good. Did nothing but complain, never asked nicely for anything, derogatory towards host and staff, bordering on bullying. Never read the clearly marked Guest Information folder provided on the entry table, despite moving it and either breaking or stealing the ceramic dish next to it. Didn’t put the bins out and then filled the Green Waste bin with rubbish, including many dirty nappies (diapers), so that we now have an official letter of complaint from the Council. All bins were left in a disgusting state and had to be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected. Broke minor items and hid them, caused significant scratching in the wooden floors, left the place dirty and never gave any thanks, despite any valid criticism being addressed promptly and at considerable expense. Paid half the usual rates due to their long stay, contacted the host continually, almost daily, with petty and wasteful complaints and queries, most of which were explained in detail in the Guest Information folder, and then had the cheek to offer a quarter of the usual rate to EXTEND their stay by another TWO WEEKS! And then gave this awful review! Yes, they asked for a two week extension of their stay, after doing nothing but complaining! And then didn’t leave until 11.30am despite being told that they must leave by 10am as we had other guests coming. Thankfully, those guests didn’t arrive until the next day, stayed for three nights and left a glowing, full marks review stating “It was the perfect place for a weekend away. The outdoor area was beautiful as well as the inside that was spotless when we arrived. Caroline was extremely helpful and had quick response time. Would 100% book again.” (Airbnb). This is consistent with all of our reviews other than this guest, and is why we have chosen to respond. We are asking Vrbo to remove this guest’s review as we consider it to be stupendously unfair and unsettlingly unbalanced. We wish to erase the memory of this guest from our beautiful, subtropical rainforest home of serenity, peace, friendship and love. We are hurt by her comments and attacks and ask her to have no further contact with us, to stay away from us and our home and to definitely, definitely not attempt to make any future bookings. This is our first Vrbo guest and if we have another similar guest through Vrbo, which is unlikely if this review stays live, then we will remove ourselves from the platform. The list of issues with this guest is long. We suspected after the first week that she would try to gain some form of monetary compensation or rate reduction, such was her interaction and attitude toward the host and staff. After nearly four weeks, she claimed compensation for two white shirts which were supposedly damaged by the almost brand new, Bosch washing machine. Many guests and the owner have used this machine with only perfect results. The owner even wears white uniform shirts for work and has never had any issues, both before or after this guest. The claim was for $250. The owner considered this unreasonable and declined. This has apparently justified the theft by the guest of over $300 worth of items from the home, including an ironing board, washing basket, all of the beach toys and most of the general supplies in the pantry including sauces, tin foil, cling wrap, baking paper, air fryer liners, sandwich bags, large olive oil tin, etc. These were commercial size items and were provided for the use of all guests in quantities which should have lasted at least another six months. Again, the Guest Information folder advised that guests were welcome to use them as needed but to consider future guests in not taking them. Selfish. Cleanliness: Yes, the grate drain for the ensuite shower had hair underneath it when the guest arrived. The host apologised and arranged for a cleaner to attend immediately. The drain had been surface cleaned but hair could be seen underneath the grate. It was obvious that someone had washed their pet in the shower, which is perfectly acceptable as we are pet friendly with owner approval, but the hair had become trapped under the grate. Unfortunately, the cleaner did not know how to remove the grate cover and although they returned immediately to attempt to clean the grate, it was not until our handyman attended the next day that he removed the grate cover and thoroughly cleaned the drain. This is the first guest who has not commented positively on the overall cleanliness of the home and was actually extremely rude and derogatory beyond reason. And yet, the state the home was left in was quite dirty, bordering on filthy, the second dirtiest it has ever been left. The usual three hour clean inside the house took six hours and not forgetting the afore mentioned disgusting issue with the rubbish bins, the almost brand new barbecue was left covered in so much burnt on food that it required power to
