I did notice the 4-star rating and wanted to reach out briefly to ask if there was anything we could have done differently to earn that fifth star. We genuinely value feedback and are always looking for ways to improve the experience for future guests.
Thanks again for staying with us, and we hope to host you again down the road.

House was great. Host very accommodating and kind. We didn’t go to the winery so we couldn’t evaluate. Shouldn’t be counted in evaluation. Dahlonega was great. We will recommend to others

There were dirty towels hanging in the primary bathroom. The floors were very dusty. A lot of clutter everywhere including partial products in the bathrooms. The outside was cluttered.

Hi,
Thank you for your message. I want to clarify that everything shown in the listing photos accurately reflects how the home is presented to guests. The home is thoroughly cleaned before each stay, and that has always been our standard.
The products in the bathrooms are intentionally left for guest use. As noted in the listing, shared items may be available, though hosts are not required to provide products. I choose to leave them as a courtesy for guests, and they are high-end products that I personally supply as a hairstylist.
Regarding the outside, there is nothing present that would be considered clutter. My home is used only as a VRBO, and what is shown in the photos in the listing is exactly what is present at the property.
If there are concerns beyond what is shown in the listing photos, please upload photos of those specific items so they can be reviewed and addressed. During your stay, nothing was brought to my attention, so I wasn’t given the opportunity to address anything at that time.
Kitchen was clean and fully equipped. Rooms were clean and cozy! Bathrooms were clean and spacious . Host was very helpful and had fast responses, had great recommendations and extremely nice. I felt very comfortable there, any problem/ question I had was answered or fixed immediately. The house had The cutest little hallmark town just 8 mins away, with great food choices all in close radius. Great sights. A zoo close by. Our family loved everything about the house and all its views. 30mins to Helen another gorgeous hallmark town! Can’t wait to book again .

Perfect location to downtown Dahlonega Square, local wineries, parks, hiking trails and picturesque mountain views. This lovely home is beautifully situated on a wooded hillside lot with plenty of privacy and outdoor spaces to enjoy nature, including decks and a large fire pit sitting area. Pet friendly. The house is bright and spacious and the decor is warm and inviting. The plants throughout make you feel right at home, very nice touch. Everything you need and then some. Communication with the property owner was terrific! Very special place!

I asked my husband for a "Hallmark" Thanksgiving and I got just that! The house was perfect- beautifully decorated, warm and inviting, clean, spacious, and generously furnished! I was concerned that I wouldn't have what I needed to make our Thanksgiving dinner for my family, but boy was I wrong- the kitchen had everything and more than I needed! We ate, relaxed, watched movies on the gigantic TV, played games that were provided, hiked, roasted hotdogs and made s'mores in the fire pit, and enjoyed the charming town of Dahlonega! Christina was a kind and attentive host! We hope to stay here again in the near future!

About the host
Hosted by Kristina Cree
Hi, we’re John and Kristina, the owners of The Cree Cabin. We love nature, family, animals, plants, and creating spaces where people can slow down and reconnect.
John is a veteran, and Kristina is a Master Cosmetologist with a love for plants, the outdoors, and making things feel welcoming and peaceful. We created this retreat because we believe some of the best memories happen around a fire, exploring nature, sharing meals, and spending uninterrupted time with the people you love.
Our goal is for every guest to feel comfortable, cared for, and like The Cree Cabin is their home away from home. 🌿
Why they chose this property
We fell in love with Dahlonega because it offers the perfect balance of peaceful mountain living and adventure. The property feels private and surrounded by nature, yet it’s only minutes from downtown Dahlonega, wineries, rivers, hiking, restaurants, and local experiences.
We love the wildlife, quiet mornings, changing seasons, unique plants and fungi, and the feeling of being tucked away while still close to everything North Georgia has to offer.
What makes this property unique
What makes The Cree Cabin special is the feeling you get the moment you arrive — peaceful, private, and surrounded by nature. 🌿
The property is more than just a place to sleep; it’s an experience. Guests can gather around the firepit, explore the wooded 1.51 acres, spot wildlife, discover unique plants and mushrooms, pick seasonal pears and mulberries, or relax under the stars.
Inside, we’ve created a cozy, welcoming space filled with plants, comfortable gathering areas, a wood-burning stove, and thoughtful touches to help families and friends make lasting memories.
From plant propagation keepsakes to kayaks, outdoor adventures, and quiet mornings in the trees — The Cree Cabin was created for guests who want to reconnect with nature and each other.
