Waters Edge - A riverfront cabin paradise! Nicely situated on 2 riverfront acres by the New River with mountain & long river views. Fish, tube or swim the New River. Take a bike ride along the riverfront roadway, picnic by the river, enjoy the firepit or a relaxing soak in the hot tub. Something for everyone! Designed for the larger family to enjoy, this cabin features great room with vaulted ceiling & exposed beams, stone fireplace with gas logs, updated 40" Smart Flatscreen TV for streaming with sleeper sofa. 1/2 bath off living room.

Dining area with large dining table and eating bar with stools.

Well equipped kitchen to handle all the family meals, including a Flex Brew coffee maker (drip and K-cup capabilities). Main level also offers Master suite with king bed, Smart TV for streaming and full bath with oversized Jacuzzi tub and separate shower.

The upstairs offers large loft with sleeper sofa. 2nd master bedroom with queen bed, Smart TV for streaming and private balcony with great mountain and river views. 3rd bedroom with 2 twin beds and updated Smart Flatscreen TV. Also 2nd full bath. Each room of this cabin offers excellent river and mountain views.

Lower level offers large unfinished room with Ping Pong table. Step outside to enjoy the relaxing hot tub! Enjoy the oversized deck with patio set. Grill a meal outside on the gas grill.

Best of all, stroll by the river and enjoy great seating with 4 Adirondack chairs for smores at the firepit. Easy river access for fishing, swimming or kayaking.

Need more room... our Rushing Waters Cabin is in walking distance and also fronts the New River.

We loved this spacious house! It was very convenient to everything we needed (lots of shopping)! The only issue was with the tv's - not sure if it was the internet or app we were trying to use to watch tv. But that was the least of our worries. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Overall, a great stay. Great spot in the river for dogs, kayaks, fishing, etc. Clean home and quiet being next to Jefferson landing. Would recommend staying here!

Serene & Peaceful

We enjoyed our stay so much! Location and river access was exactly what we wanted. Kitchen was stocked well for cooking. Hot tub and fire pit were great for evening relaxation. Lots of room for hanging out and playing games. Only downside was the neighbor’s loud obnoxious music

Beautiful place to spend time with family

Everything was great. We created memories throughout our holiday stay. Place is so clean and so much privacy. Communication with the office was so easy and quick. I love everything about this cabin. I hope we comeback sometime.

Long Family Weekend

We enjoyed a relaxing weekend on this beautiful property next to the river. It was just as pictured online. Clean, beautiful and peaceful! Weather was perfect for the kids to play in the river during the day and to snuggle up by the fire at night. We may book again and get both cabins !!

Million dollar view

Loved sitting on porch listening to the river flow by. The cons to this property was the stairs which are really steep and need heavier blinds in bedrooms and bath.

Overall it was great.

The house was very nice and as pictured. It wasn’t as private as we thought, but the river was beautiful in the backyard. The jacuzzi tub had a lot of black dirt coming out when on, so that was a disappointment, and the master bed was very hard. But overall we had a very nice stay.

We clean out the jacuzzi tub and run jets regularly, so we are checking into this issue. The King mattress in the master bedroom is basically brand new(less than 2 months old). We thoroughly enjoyed being on the river. The fire pit was great. The house was comfortable and clean. The light bulbs in the living room were out. It would also be nice to have a can opener. Everything else was as expected. Thank you for a great time.

A good riverfront rental.

The house was clean except for the amount of dog hair on the furniture. It seemed like every time we sat down we were covered in dog hair. I don’t think the cleaning people are doing their job correctly.

Wonderful cabin on the river

Wonderful cabin on the New river. We Love West Jefferson area, and went out for a birthday trip for my son- to kayak, go tubing (and fish) on the river. Access to the river is a bit steep when you get right next to the river, but manageable (with the help of my husband and son). it's also like that for a lot of homes in the area. HUGE yard that is level, wonderful views, nice home. I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again. There was an extra bed on the lower level where ping pong table is (i don't recall it being listed). It was a nice surprise for my sons friend - who stayed down there instead of using a pull out sofa.

Excellent location but lighting needs improvement.

We enjoyed our stay very much except for the lack of lighting especially on the stairs to the lower level. Many bulbs were out including the one on the stairs to the lower level and the light over the kitchen table went out Friday night. We reported it to the number given for weekend contact Saturday morning. The lights were still out when we left this morning.

We loved our stay here! It’s a nice quiet area with tons of birds. The house is well stocked with nice pots, pans, cookie sheets etc. it was very clean and well kept. We enjoyed hanging out by the river and fishing. We caught creek chubs, smallmouth bass, rock bass, and some bluegills. We brought waders with and they made it easy to get around in the river. Access down to the river was super easy with the steps they have. Our dogs loved the yard and sitting in the sun on the deck. Definitely plan on coming back. One of our favorite vacation rentals! Host was very responsive with any questions we had.

Waters Edge was beautiful!

The location in amazing. Even the drive to the cabin is a beautiful country setting with green pastures filled with grazing cows. There are 2 cabins next to each other so if coming in at night be sure you are at the right one. The cabin was clean and well appointed with awesome views of the river. We enjoyed sitting on the back deck listening to the water rush by and watching occasional kayakers. Very relaxing get away!

Weekend in Jefferson NC

Overall experience was great! TVs need updated and mattresses were very hard. Other than that we had a wonderful time. We had a total of 6 people and had plenty of room for everyone.

Great location, bad experience.

So much potential. Beautiful location, beds were hard as rocks, it would have been more comfortably to sleep on the floor. GFCI outlet kept tripping and we were advised to purchase an extension cord(at our expense) and plug the router into a different outlet to get WiFi. Light bulbs were out(in the staircase to the basement and in the ‘dining’ area), tvs didn’t work and the one that did had dead batteries so we had to scavenge from the other remotes for it to work. Again, gorgeous location right on the river with so much potential.

Love this place

This was the second time we rented this house we love it we love the fact that we can drop in at Zulu's canoes and then pull out right at the house and it's a nice short kayaking trip we love the views we love the yard and the space. Location is on point. When we came in we can tell that it had been cleaned thoroughly it's not very fresh and clean.

Beautiful serene mountain property

Traditional log kit home that met the expectation of being on a mountain property but close to a grocery store. FYI...The serenity of being on the river is its draw, however, it's so closely placed to a neighbor's home (not sure if it's the property owner or not) that the idea of being in a private setting goes away with the activity within the home and the golf course next door. Still had a wonderful time and would rent again.

This property is absolutely perfect. It was hard getting up the next day to leave. I would recommend this spot for anyone looking to kayak or spend the day floating down the river. The house is in great condition as well, its very clean and well maintained.

Pics Are A Bit Deceiving

We had no problems with cabin itself but the pics are a bit deceiving. Cabin is located on about 2 acres on the New River as shown but there is a permanent resident located about 30 feet from this cabin, which was not show. Pictures also show grassy river frontage and open area with lots of river access but those are pictures of the neighbor's property not the rental. There is a fence that separates the two properties and you can actually see the top of the fence post in the picture showing the willow tree at waters edge (neighbor's property). The river access for this cabin is a section about 20 feet wide in the corner of property. The rest of the river front is over grown and is inaccessible. There is a second cabin located on the property and it is definitely more private. If privacy and proximity to other residents are of no concern for you then this is otherwise a good little cabin.

We appreciate your review and comments. We are glad you enjoyed Water's Edge. We advertise this cabin as riverfront and it is. The river bank cannot be completely mowed down for risk of washing the ground away but we make sure all guests have an area mowed as to have access to river from cabin. We hope you will stay again. Beautiful setting and house!

Could have had some more cooking and baking dishes. Needs sharp knives! A chair in any bedroom would have been nice as well!
