About this property

Carriage House On 150 Feet Of Lake Front

This immaculate 1 bedroom Carriage House offers you the best of all vacation spots – 150 feet of lake frontage with crystal clear water (you can count the rocks and fish swimming below you!), fantastic views, southwestern exposure for sunny days & sunsets that will stun you, eagles flying past your windows, loons and ducks swimming by, great fishing, hiking and wilderness areas close by, Flathead Lake within 45 minutes and only 1 1/4 hour's drive (50 miles) from Glacier National Park. The local gathering and eating spot (Hilltop Hitching Post) is 5 minutes away. Amazing golfing, all varieties of sports, antiquing and art galleries are available throughout the Flathead Valley. Rock climbing is nearby, as is sky diving, hiking, and fishing.

Located above the owner’s garage with private entrance, this getaway sleeps 2 and comes completely furnished. The living area has a new, comfortable fold-out sleeper. Included is a full kitchen, bath, living room, all linens, full appliances, cooking equipment, free Wi-Fi , TV for VCR & DVD player, HDMI cable for using your computer, totally private views, your own BBQ & seating area overlooking the lake, separate sloping path to the lake (bring water shoes for the rocky shore), floating dock & floating swim dock, canoe, sit-on-top kayak (you will get wet!), pedal boat and life vests and fire pit. (Beach area is shared with owner only!) Perfect for that private vacation or for visiting family or friends in the area.

Please note that Bitterroot Lake is subject to fluctuating water levels and typically, the floating dock and swim dock are in place between Memorial Day and Labor Day. If water levels permit, the season may be extended at either end of the summer. Both docks are floating and therefore subject to wave action when there is wind.

In winter, play in the snow, ice skate, cross country ski or ice fish on the lake! Year-round enjoy the neighboring towns, (Kalispell, Whitefish, Bigfork) a variety of restaurants and ski at the world-class Whitefish Mountain Resort (45 minute drive).

Please note: There is no smoking on the premises. Also, the property is not H/C Accessible. There is one flight of stairs up to the unit. Access to the lake is down a sloping path.

My husband and I raised our children here during summers and all holidays before finally making the jump to living here full-time in 2008. And wondered why we did not do it sooner! I am born and raised in Montana and have found that this is the most perfect place to be!

Why they chose this property

The lake is literally picture-perfect! We have year-round easy access, clean water, great fishing, swimming, boating, wilderness around the corner, yet are only 20 miles from town. We watch the fawns come eat our flowers in the summer, the eagles fly by in the fall, the deer and elk amble by in the winter, and the bunnies come out in the spring. What else could you want?

What makes this property unique

We love to sit out and look at the lake. It never fails to uplift our spirits and give us a new lease on life. We light a fire down by the lake summer or winter and can talk into the night with friends and family. The view is stupendous and the area is quiet and rural.
