The Speckled Nest was truly wonderful! The accomodation was far more spacious than we had anticipated. It was very clean, generously well-stocked (even a bottle of Tamburlaine wine and some chocolate), and comfortable. Anita and Paul also recommended several restaurants and local things to do ahead of our stay which we really appreciated. We had a lovely stay in Millthorpe and would highly recommend anyone to stay here!
This house is cosy but don’t be fooled, it’s not as small as the pics make it out to be!The hosts were communicative and helpful, and the location a short walk to everything in Millthorpe. We had such a lovely time, we couldn’t recommend this space more highly.
We had a lovely stay at The Speckled Nest. As an interior designer I was appreciative of the quality of the furnishings/decor. Loved the proximity to town and truly enjoyed the bottle of local wine awaiting for us upon our arrival. Also a big fan of the secluded back area, along with their landscape that draws your eye up to the front porch and encapsulates you in the rear of the property.

Beautiful little setup, perfect for couples to enjoy a weekend at Millthorpe. Just park your car and walk everywhere, gorgeous ahopping, restaurants and bars.
We enjoyed our stay in Milthorpe & found the Museum excellent. A cook top would have been appreciated as we didn’t want to eat out all the time.

We're pleased you enjoyed Millthorpe. Our studio doesn't have full cooking facilities including a cooktop which is displayed in the Vrbo/Stayz listing when you book.
Beautiful, comfortable & everything we had hoped it would be!
Fire pit out the back made for a lovely, quiet afternoon after a days wandering & exploring!
Loved it all!

We really enjoyed our two night stay in The Speckled Nest. Would highly recommend staying there. It was super comfy, near the pub, cafes, shops and three excellent cellar doors. Thank you Paul and Anita for your thoughtful touches, bottle of wine and choccies.

Excellent experience. The decor was delightful and unique. The proximity to the village allowed us to walk everywhere. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
Such a beautiful little property and so tastefully decorated. Bed was super comfortable. Property has air conditioning which was very welcome as the weather was really hot. Just around the corner from Pym St so nice and close to Tonic and all three cellar doors. Gorgeous little town. Also quick drive to Orange. Loved our stay. Hosts fantastic….even left a bottle of wine and some Lindt chocolates.
We came for the local wine event held at Tonic enjoying a long lunch with tamburlaines wines. Our 2 night stay was relaxing and throughly enjoyable, the location and facilities were just perfect with us taking full advantage of the local surroundings and kept the car parked outside for our stay. This is not our first stay here and certainly never disappoint. Many wonderful memories again and look forward to creating more staying in Millthorpe soon.
Overall this property suits our needs for short term stays. Its our second stay. Our only concern is that it gets little sunlight inside and the interior lighting is not adequate.
So clean with such a comfortable bed. I loved the interior decoration with the natural materials (including a birds nest) and recycled materials. The back courtyard with quirky detailing and lovely birch trees was a pleasant place to have a late afternoon drink. Also liked that we could walk everywhere within Millthorpe which is such a lively town.
