If I could give 10 stars, I would. We went to the mountains for a short tubing trip but once we settled into this quiet little cabin, we didn’t want to leave. It literally feels like you’re the only person on an entire mountain. Just to get to the cabin feels like you’re going down some secret path, I don’t know, just everything about it feels exactly like the mountains should feel!

The house was perfect for our family weekend mountain getaway! It was clean, thoughtfully stocked, and had all of the amenities that we needed. The fire pit and hot tub were perfect! The toys in the family/playroom area kept our little ones occupied. One of the bathrooms feels like a literal spa and the shower is AMAZING! The extra touches from the host, the firewood, the Blackstone grill, the smores kit, were all greatly appreciated. It was an approximately 17 minute drive to Blowing Rock and about the same to Boone, which was super convenient. We will absolutely stay here again! 12/10 would recommend!!

One of the best cabins we’ve ever been! The host was super thoughtful about the place and providing supply. All loved and will definitely book again in future. It is 8 min away from main road but at the end of the road you can also enjoy the river side. Definitely recommend it!

Our family has been going to the mountains at the end of October for several years as a family tradition. We took a chance on Matt’s place even though it didn’t have any reviews, because the description was so thorough and because they provided helpful extras like a high chair and small silverware for our children. We could not have been more pleased. The mountain cabin experience exceeded every expectation we had. The house felt like a second home to us immediately. I have a lot of bad allergies and they didn’t bother me a bit during my stay because there wasn’t a speck of dust in the home. Tiny details, like extra towels, a lantern, s’more’s kit, and DVDs for the kids surprised us in the best way. Check-in and out was simple, and Matt’s communication and recommendations were wonderful. I cannot recommend this home enough for a peaceful mountain stay.

Our kids play sports, especially in the spring and fall, so it makes it difficult for us to enjoy the house as much as we would like. Now you can enjoy it, too! Ask us any question - we love going up to the mountain house!

Why they chose this property

This is so quiet and peaceful - the opposite of what Charlotte has become. But we are still only 15 minutes from Blowing Rock with no traffic lights in between!

Nature! The unspoiled beauty of being in the forest but still being so close to everything you would want to do in and around Blowing Rock.
