The place is nice inside although there were weird gaps in the floor which made it seem like you could be spied on. There is also a lot of light that penetrates the bedrooms with the location being right on a major intersection which I didn’t notice prior to booking. Lots of road noise also. There is an 11pm and 2am train which blows its horn nonstop for at least two to three minutes.

Thank you for your feedback. We’re glad you found the inside of the home nice and enjoyed the remodel.
This building is a historic property that was formerly a general store, and while it has been fully renovated, we’ve intentionally preserved some of its original character. This side of the home sits on a sealed crawlspace — there is absolutely no open space beneath the floors and no possibility of anyone “spying.” In over six years of hosting, this is the first time we’ve ever received a concern like this.
We do provide blinds and/or curtains in every bedroom, and most guests find them sufficient. That said, the home is located on one of the main roads in our small town, which is accurately reflected in the listing and photos. With that location can come some light and road noise, as is typical for properties in a central area.
The train is also disclosed multiple times in the listing. It runs through town and can be heard from virtually any property here — including the local hotel — and the horn schedule is not something we have control over.
We always strive to be transparent so guests can decide if a property is the right fit for them. We appreciate you staying with us and wish you the best in your future travels.
