We enjoy our stay at Secluded Adirondack Cabin! It's super family friendly with some kids toys and a few pack and plays. About 10-15 minutes from the lake where you can swim. There's no ac, but it didn't get uncomfortably hot, even in July. We'd definitely stay here again.
We all loved the views, the deck, the spacious house. This listing did not disappoint in any way. It was a short trip to Albany and Schenectady. There was plenty of shopping near by. Four Corners Diner was a great breakfast and the Northville 5 and 10 shop is worth a stop for souvenirs.
A beautiful home with plenty of space to accommodate all of us. The only drawback was it was not as close to our other family members as we would have liked. But when they came to visit us everyone loved the house! I would highly recommend this home to anyone looking for a quiet getaway.
Secluded location, just like the name of the property says. Large spaces for family to gather, but also enough bedrooms and space throughout the house for us and our three adult children to have some privacy. We loved exploring the trails on the property and the frequent wildlife sightings (deer and turkeys!) Many small towns nearby for exploring - shopping, paved walking/hiking/biking trails, groceries and restaurants. If you're up for a longer drive, Lake George and Lake Placid are farther away, but worth the visit. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 for property description was because we found out after checking in that the fireplace cannot be used by guests.
We loved the property! It was great for our larger family! The kids loved playing in the bunk room. They had a large side yard for kids to play and run. Would stay here again :)
8 college friends gathered at this property, a short drive to Sacandaga Lake. Large fully stocked kitchen, dining room seats 10, living room with fireplace and TV, plenty of sleeping space. Was easily able to communicate with owner and hope to return soon.
This cabin was actually even better than expected. There was a stream my grandchildren just loved to play around. There was plenty of room when the family came to visit & it was private! The only drawback(s) were that I never found a can opener and the sauce pans were few/skimpy.
We booked this for a large family trip and the house was more than accomodating for our large group. The home itself is very nice and well maintained. I still give 5 stars but a few minor things I noticed were that the half bathroom door did not lock, some of the windows were in the process or repair so could not open, the wall in the kids room was damaged, and one of the bunkbeds in the kids room was rather wobbly and the safety rail was not secured properly so it went unused. The driveway is rather steep so the first go up is rather sketchy but it is certainly driveable. This house is in a good location with most shopping, dining, and activities within short driving distance. The best thing of this property was the morning views it provided. If you like to wake up and watch the sunrise over some mountain region then you will love the view from the deck! The only real negative thing I can say is the bugs outdoors were horrible. This is not a fault of the homeowner but for those looking to actually hike or enjoy the property much I would surely recommend a mosquito hood or equivelant grament. One of the reasons we booked this was to enjoy the trails and creeks etc but we could not take the kids through the swarms of yellow fly. This will of course depend on when you travel but anywhere in July could be this way. The host was very responsive to questions and I would overall recommend to anyone looking to visit this area.
