I booked a two-week stay in this apartment a month early, which is managed by a company called Central Apartments. I repeatedly reached out to the company through the VRBO app seeking confirmation, but they never replied. I finally reached them a day before my arrival via WhatsApp, only to have them tell me that the apartment we had reserved was double-booked and they would be putting us in a less nice apartment without a view for the first five days. We didn’t want to move halfway through our trip but we agreed if they’d put us temporarily in another property they owned, which was closer in quality to the one we had booked and had a similar view. They refused, while continuously downplaying the inconvenience to us, and offering no compensation for this inconvenience, and saying they would cancel our booking if we did not accept their terms. We ended up having to scramble last minute to find another booking, which was extremely stressful. While VRBO was great in helping us find a new booking, this company did not honor its booking.
