We appreciated the partial refund that was ultimately provided after concerns were raised. However, our overall experience did not align with the expectations created by the listing.The property was significantly more worn and in need of maintenance than reflected in the photos, and cleanliness was a concern throughout our stay. There were several areas that felt neglected, including grime on doors and surfaces, worn cabinetry, maintenance issues, and a kitchen that did not feel clean enough for us to comfortably use.We were also surprised to discover that the property is a duplex/shared-wall setup rather than a standalone home, which was not what we expected from the listing.Most concerning, we returned one evening to find there was no power due to a utility account issue, which was stressful while staying in an unfamiliar area.Additionally, after removing the bedding at checkout (as requested), we discovered a mattress pad beneath the fitted sheet with extensive visible yellow/brown staining across multiple areas and no protective cover over it. This was upsetting to discover after sleeping on the bed for several nights.Every traveler has different expectations, but guests who place a high value on cleanliness, upkeep, and overall property condition may want to ask questions before booking.

When I read this review, I honestly wondered if we were talking about the same property. The vast majority of our guests have had wonderful experiences and have shared nothing but positive feedback about the home. A great deal of thought, care, and attention went into creating a comfortable and welcoming space. That said, we take all feedback seriously, and every concern mentioned in the review has been carefully reviewed and evaluated. We are always looking for ways to improve and provide the best possible experience for our guests.
