Please Read Before Booking

Our cabin sits in rural Pennsylvania, where nearly all homes rely on private well water rather than city water. Because our water comes from a natural well, it contains iron minerals that are common throughout the area. While the water is filtered, it is not processed through a commercial softening system like many city homes.
As a result, you may notice:
A natural iron smell, especially in hot water
Slight orange or reddish staining over time, which is normal for iron-rich well water
Water that feels and smells different from treated municipal water
This is completely normal for many country homes throughout Pennsylvania and is part of the authentic rural experience.
Likewise, because you're staying in the middle of the forest, you may occasionally encounter insects, spider webs, leaves, pollen, wildlife sounds, and the natural scent of wood. We work hard to keep the cabin clean and comfortable, but Mother Nature is our closest neighbor.
If you're looking for a true Pennsylvania woods getaway where nature is part of the experience—not a luxury hotel—you'll feel right at home. Slow down, unplug, breathe the fresh mountain air, and enjoy everything the Pennsylvania wilderness has to offer.

I wish I could give this cottage 10 stars! Very clean and cozy with many added touches that made it feel like home. The hosts were so gracious and kind, and the cottage was one of the highlights of our stay. All of our activities were within a close driving distance, and the cottage was quiet in the evenings for a relaxing night after a day packed full of fun. The beds were extremely comfy, and the hosts even provided snacks and coffee. We’re booking this cottage any time we stay in the area - it’s the best!!

About the host

Host profile image
Hi, I'm Brandi! I'm a registered nurse, wife, and mom to two wonderful daughters. I grew up in the Pennsylvania countryside, where I learned the value of hard work, family, and a deep appreciation for the outdoors. Hunting, fishing, riding four-wheelers, and spending time in the woods have always been a big part of my life.
The Tipsy Turkey Cabin is more than just a vacation rental it's a dream that allowed me to share the place and lifestyle I love with others. Throughout the cabin you'll find family heirlooms and pieces of my family's history, including items from my late father's farm and his old license plates. After losing my dad to cancer, keeping those memories alive here has made this cabin even more meaningful to me.
My goal is for every guest to feel like they're staying at a friend's cabin rather than a rental. I try to think of all the little things that make a trip special—from a stocked coffee bar and extra snacks to games, firewood, and the comforts of home. Whether you're visiting to hunt, fish, hike, explore Cook Forest, or simply relax and unplug, I hope you leave with wonderful memories and a desire to come back.
Thanks for considering our little piece of Pennsylvania. We can't wait to welcome you to the woods!

Why they chose this property

I chose this location because it's close to our own home and allows me to share the beauty of the area I love while still being nearby if guests need assistance during their stay.
Surrounded by towering trees and abundant wildlife, it's a place where you can slow down, breathe fresh country air, and leave the hustle of everyday life behind.
The area is a paradise for outdoor lovers. Whether you enjoy hiking the beautiful trails of Cook Forest, kayaking or tubing the Clarion River, fishing, hunting, ATV riding, or simply sitting around a campfire watching the deer wander by, there's something here for every nature enthusiast.
One of my favorite things about this area is that it still feels authentic. You'll hear birds singing instead of traffic, see more stars than streetlights, and experience the simple beauty of country living. I hope every guest leaves feeling refreshed, reconnected, and with a greater appreciation for everything our Pennsylvania woods have to offer.

What makes this property unique

The Tipsy Turkey Cabin isn't just another vacation rental it's a place built from our family's love for the outdoors and the Pennsylvania woods. Throughout the cabin you'll find well-loved antiques, family heirlooms, and meaningful pieces that once belonged to my mom and late dad. Many of the decorations have been passed down through our family, including items from my grandparents farm, dads old license plates and long bow, and treasured pieces from my parents home. Each one has a story and adds to the character of the cabin, making it feel warm, authentic, and unlike a typical rental.
I've tried to think of all the little details that make a stay memorable. From the stocked coffee bar, complimentary snacks and treats, indoor and outdoor games, firewood, and everyday essentials, my goal is for guests to have everything they need without feeling like they have to pack their entire house.
Unlike a luxury resort or hotel this is an authentic rustic cabin where you can unplug, enjoy nature, watch deer and wildlife from the porch, gather around the campfire, and experience the simple charm of country living. With the background of a hardworking middle class family trying to make a living in this ever changing fast paced world. I want every guest to feel like they're staying at a family cabin that's been loved for generations not just another place to sleep.
