I love the location of this home and it had everything we needed. The house was very clean and the owners were very helpful and friendly.

This house was in a great location, clean, and perfect for our family get away. We were close to local attractions and had plenty of space to play games and eat meals together.

We had a wonderful, stress-free stay and would absolutely come back. The owner is very laid-back, which we really appreciated. At many rentals you feel like you’re trying to memorize a rulebook the size of a novel, but here it was the opposite, relaxing and easy. He was accommodating when we had requests and although responses weren’t always immediate, everything worked out just fine. The house actually feels much bigger inside than it looks from the outside. The kids especially loved the roomy loft upstairs. The downstairs bathroom was also great, large and comfortable, which is always a plus when traveling with a group.I wasn’t inspecting with a white glove, but everything felt clean and comfortable. It may not be a five-star luxury resort, but it was exactly what we wanted: comfortable, easygoing, and perfect for our stay. The neighborhood was quiet, and overall we were very pleased. A great place if you want to relax instead of worrying about whether you folded the hand towels the “approved” way.

The first thing that we noticed was how overgrown the grass and shrubs were at this house. The yard is definitely not well maintained. It was very hot in the house when we walked in. The air was completely off and the house smelled very musty. House is advertised as sleeping 12 people. Not sure how that would be possible. We followed the directions for checking out when we left the house. Shut off all lights, turn off air, strip beds, place all towels in bathtub, remove trash and leave keys in a visible place. Notified the property owner of this only to be told that the keys needed to go back in the lock box. Since we were already out of the house and doors were locked this was impossible. If you are considering this property you may want to reconsider as it is definitely not well maintained. 2nd bathroom is in the basement which houses an over abundance of junk including a second washer and dryer, drywall and a mattress.

The host was good with communicating. Would have allowed us to even check in early if the cleaners had finished early. However my family and I were a bit disappointed with the place. Although it was cozy, we were startled to find the kitchen bare and dishes coated with dust. Even though it said a "fully stocked kitchen" there was no food in there. We ended up leaving some of what we bought for the next guests. Lights in the basement were not working properly. The doors would get stuck closed, leaving some members trapped inside the rooms. We were also disappointed by the state of the backyard. Tick season is horrible this season and the backyard was extremely overgrown. We did not allow our dogs in the backyard. Overall we enjoyed our visit, just had moments of frustration.

Oh my, you thought a 'stocked kitchen' meant we are going to fill the refrigerator and cupboards with food for you?! This is a lodging platform, not a steak & lobster restaurant. Now I can see why you made some of the other false statements in your review. Like your young children being unable to turn a doorknob ...that doesn't make it fair to say that doors would not open. Completely untrue. Our apologies in that the basement lightbulb burnt out. We do have notes at the home that state - "If you need anything, or have any problems, please contact us". We can't correct an issue is we do not know about it. Glad to hear that you found the home cozy, clean and comfortable. Sorry about your stocked kitchen expectation.

Despite the two excellent reviews, we found this home to be lacking in many ways. The “fully stocked kitchen” was simply, not. The pots and pans were misfits of extremely poor quality. Even the manual can opener was broken. Cooking for our group was important for this 6 night stay. There were ants on the kitchen floor, the cabinets were pretty gross and I had to run all the dishes in the washer before using them. The basement where the laundry was located was poorly lit, had old appliances, old mattresses and many discarded items strewn about the area. And bring your phone’s flashlight because the pull string lightbulbs are out. The dryer doesn’t dry well, I tried cleaning the filter but the lint stuck down in the machine was likely the problem. The yard was atrocious. The back porch is water soaked and rotten, with over growth of bugs, huge weeds and trees in the back yard showing years of neglect. There were two old grills sitting about the porch, that we would have liked to use. IThe host masked this up-front advising that they were observing “No Mow May”, which was fine for the front yard, but there was no way a mower could have trekked through the rear jungle. There were 2 extra rolls of TP and 3 garbage bags for our weeks stay. The bathrooms were nicely updated and the water pressure was good, butI found it strange that the old, war-torn Welcome Statement read “Feel free to wipe any unduly dirty surfaces and appliances”.
