Fox Den (previously Three Bears Lodge) in Mentone, AL is open for business!

Located between Mentone’s charming downtown and DeSoto State Park, Fox Den is just minutes from local restaurants, sightseeing, hiking, biking, apple picking, farmer’s markets, and more.

Sleeping up to 6 people, this 2-story cabin is perfect for a family vacation, mountain getaway with friends, or a romantic couples retreat. Enjoy peaceful, mountain air mornings rocking on the front porch, an afternoon glass of something you love on the screened-in back porch, and luxurious evenings relaxing in the private outdoor hot tub.

At Fox Den, you don't have to choose between authentic, rustic cabin and luxury retreat. This well-appointed cabin is filled with curated antiques and furniture, cozy indoor and outdoor seating areas, a 55" Smart TV, games and puzzles, 2 bedrooms plus a sleeping loft, 2 full bathrooms, and all the amenities you could ever want! If anything is not up to snuff during your stay, please let us know and we will do our best to address the issue promptly.

Turn off the lights, lock the doors and return the keys
Please wash and put away all dishes.
Place used linens and towels in the laundry baskets provided in either of the bathrooms.
If you used the hot tub during your stay, please add a bottle of shock (in the laundry closet) to the hot tub before you depart. This ensures a sanitary and enjoyable environment for future guests.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Bears are active in the area, so be sure to bring all trash/food items inside. Thank you for helping us keep the bears safe and Mentone trash free!

The place was amazing and so cozy! The hosts did an excellent job making sure you had everything you need and more! And the decor was wonderful. You can tell they put a lot of effort into it. Every time we looked around we saw a new hidden gem! The perfect place for a weekend getaway!

Fox Den was like walking into a cabin straight out of a book. All the little details were so perfect and thoughtful. From the moment we walked in we were in awe of all the decorations and scenery the cabin had to offer. It was close to DeSoto Falls and the town, which was very convenient. The upstairs tub was a dream and the beds were comfortable. The hosts left us a beautiful note and even made us homemade granola for our trip. I highly recommend staying here and can’t wait to book this cabin again in the near future!

We had a great time in Mentone! Fox Den couldn’t be a more perfect place to stay. The cabin is so welcoming in EVERY way - so peaceful, so clean, so full of luxurious extras, and so very relaxing! This cabin is beautifully built and decorated. The beds are very comfortable and the kitchen is well stocked if you want to cook or grill out. The porches are very peaceful as you look out on so many trees and pretty landscape. And the hot tub! We had fun going to eat and shop in nearby downtown Mentone (so very quaint!) and absolutely loved hiking Desoto Falls (also so close!) What a fantastic weekend. We recommend an entire week here! Thank you for your warm hospitality and for making our trip so easy!

Clean, cozy cabin to spend the weekend in. We picked a beautiful weekend to visit, as it was just a short 5 minute drive to DeSoto State Park where we spent the whole day hiking and taking on the natural beauty of the area! When we weren't out on the trail we spent most of our days in the backyard on the deck or in the hot tub. Would highly recommend staying here if you need a place to stay in the area!
